rawr! fine. 😛
first of all, in ff1, there was fire, fire 2, fire 3, which were the equivalent of fire, fira, etc. Call them whatever you like, its still the same basic magic most ff games have. That said, I don't want characters having meteor and ultima from the very start. Like ff1, magic needs to be bought as a scroll in a magic shop, or they can be found as loot.
The exception to this rule is a mime (who I plan on playing as), since they use their own magic to mimic the magic/abilities of others.
weapons and gear can be anything medieval based - mace, spear, sword, chain mail, plate, cloth etc, you name it.
And of course, magic and weapons/gear are classed based. So no giant axe and chain mail for the black mage. 😬
"Cold War"
A very high profile, confidential research facility deep within the frozen wastes of Antarctica has recently stopped all transmissions with the Untied States. Because of the their 'deep investments' at the facility, the government has ordered a group of soldiers to travel to the facility by helicopter in order to give a full situation report. The team's designated rendezvous was never met and the pilot had to pull out due to unfavorable weather. After a partial message was intercepted by a German research facility, the military jumped into action as soon as the weather was even remotely flyable.
This would be an RP much like The Thing, but fire wouldn't be the only way to kill the creature, and the creature's origin would be much different.
Anyone like this idea?
