lol Ush. Too bad you can't join the RP. Okay so before I start working on the idea, so I at least know i'm not wasting my time. A Mass Effect RP of any sort, no planned story, who is at least interested in that. If I get enough people who are interested, I'll start working it out and I'll also be able to ask for opinions on what people want to see. I can make a pretty good RP when I have opinions shared.

I'm down for it, better be awesome!

Intriguing concept. Potential entertainment value beyond standard projections. No mistake. Count me in.

Right. So Xan's a Salarian. Who else wants to join?

Have a few ideas. None complete. Irrelevant. Too many variables.

1.) Omega Gang War. Blood Pack, Blue Suns, Eclipse. Civilians get dragged in. Room for all people. Dramatic, Exciting, *deep breath* ... Interesting.

2.) Cerberus battle. Much like Omega DLC. Illusive Man assigned General. Can play Cerberus Operative, Main Enemy Team (Heroes), Civilians trapped by Cerberus invasion. More classic.

3.) Old idea, make Multiplayer version, N7 Team. Do not expect many results for this idea.

No other ideas right now, make suggestions if want, will help. Glad to be leading this RP. Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.

"Commander Shepherd was officially declared Killed in Action by Earth Alliance high command on Tuesday following a Geth incursion on the colony world of Virmire one week ago, where the Commander reportedly sacrificed himself to save Sargent Ashley Williams and her Squad from an Ambush by Geth forces. Williams, and notable Normandy crew members who knew the Commander were in attendance for commander Shephered's funeral on Earth earlier yesterday, a public memorial will be held in Regents park in London later this week. Admiral Anderson, John Shepherd's immediate CO, was unavailable to comment, but inside sources tell us he has been placed head of a new division charged to track down Prothean technology to use against the Geth threatening the outer colonies. We will have more on this as we receive it. This is EACN reporter Gerald Dyke signing off."

Commander Valanté flicked off the holo-viewer, and turned to face his personal compu-screen. "So, that how it begins." He said quietly to himself unaware if anyone was listening. "Thats how it begins."

----

I was bored so I made my idea a bit more elaborate. Perhaps a bit grander than what you have already.

There are parts I like but there's no way I can support the report itself. Commander Shepard's role can't be touched, if it is then I can't be a part of it because of moral view. As far as having a report about commander shepard such as something that we know happened (cured genophage) (sovereign's defeat), stuff like this is okay because it's canon. Does that make sense?

I guess before we think of ideas, lets get the setting. So do you guys want...
1. Pre Mass Effect.
2. During Mass Effect.
3. Post Mass Effect, Pre Mass Effect 2 (I'll count this as the 2 years while Commander Shepard was considered KIA.)
4. During Mass Effect 2
5. Post Mass Effect 2, Pre Mass Effect 3
6. During Mass Effect 3
7. Post Mass Effect 3

Restrictions
1. We can't use any of the Normandy Crew directly. This means that you cannot personally know Commander Shepard, you can however know of him obviously. If you're a pilot, you could have met Joker at flight school. You could have battled with Shepard in the past but not be a personal friend, just a soldier on the field. Some of the characters that will (if time allows it) make an appearance are: Admiral Hackett, Captain Anderson, Citadel Council.
2. You can play any race; Human, Salarian, Turian, Krogan, Drell, Hanar, Asari, etc. However, we don't need another Blasto. Combat roles should be restricted to those we've actually seen in combat (ME3 Multiplayer is a good example).
3. Based on time; (Anything pre ME3 Ending) Fame will be limited. There has to be a reason you wouldn't have been heard of. If it's post, the sky is the limit on fame. You could have single handedly wiped out a platoon of angry Batarians and saved the council.

Basic ideas
1.) New Frigate; Will have one of the participants as the ship captain. The other participants will either be members of the crew or people met (enemies or friendlies). Conflict: N/A
2.) Colony; A colony is under attack by Reaper forces. Alliance marines are fighting back. Takes place during ME3. All events take place either on world or in space around the planet.
3.) Gang War; Blue Suns, Eclipse, and Blood Pack conflict. Players take up roles as a member of one of the three gangs, civilians of omega, aria's goons, considering spectre of undecided race. Takes place pre mass effect 2.
4.) N7 Missions; A form of Roleplay on the Multiplayer of Mass Effect 3. Players take up the role of any combat race and form a temporary team to combat the reapers. Proposed this idea before, not enough support. Takes place during Mass Effect 3.
5.) First Contact War; Restricted to just Turians / Humans. The Humans just made contact with their first alien race, the Turians. Players will take up roles as either Turian Military or Human Military (gonna guess this one gets no votes).

Other ideas are still welcome; just making a path for people to take guesses on.

My suggestion was more along the line of we replace Shepard and co and we do Mass Effect ourselves with our own characters. But hmm...

How about combine all your basic ideas into a mission structure for an N7 Crew and set it between Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 where Commander Shepard is missing and presumed dead.

I think the 2-year period of Shepard's absence would be an interesting point to explore within the overall story. I liked the original suggestion of N7 Missions when this was first brought up, and I still do, though I am unsure it would work so well if we were considering an eventual confrontation with Collectors or something. Then again, there's nothing to say we have to deal with them at all, especially since they don't become prominent plotwise during that point.

Here's what I'm getting.

Time Period: 2 year gap between ME1 and ME2 where Shepard is KIA (Really MIA).
Team: N7

I recommend making it one N7 Operative and the rest be N7 Recruits, N6 maybe.

This is one idea. Suggestions and Opinions on this so far?

we have seen all sorts here over time- will face immediate bans from the RP areas, and if necessary bans form the board.

Sounds good Phoe 🙂 but maybe we are a new N7 team trying to fight whats left of the Geth and even begin combating the Collectors, have brushes with the Illusive Man, remember the Illusive man brought Shepard back to fight the Collectors. Maybe we are the team and the Illusive man orchestrates us to go and retrevive his body or something or maybe one of us us a mole for Cerberus. i like Cerberus personally, they aren't a bad thing, but the MAN went nuts.

And hello, yes you may likely be removed unless you are here to Role Play.

I don't understand that post between mine and yours Jedi.

As far as your idea. N7 doesn't in anyway connect to the illusive man. and like I said, I don't want to interfere with the Lore. Liara was the one who found Shepard and then turned him over to the Illusive Man.

Yes, but it didn't say how she retrieved and returned him. I am just pointing out parts of the Mass Effect story that we could have some creative fun with, with out hurting canon events in any way. Remember the Illusive man USED the Alliance from behind the scenes, as well as his own personal army, and he is very well informed.

😱

I'm just now playing ME1. Was never too big a fan of shooter games or whatever this game would be classified as. But it's like a movie. And I love it. And I heard that by ME3, male Shep could hook up with Kaiden, which seems like that should have been an option with the first one. I cannot say that I would take part in this but I would read the HELL outta this if you guys do it.

Shepard was actually KIA, never MIA. After ME1 he was sent by the council to clear out Geth. When the Collectors destroyed his ship he was Spaced and died(Start of ME2). Burnt to a crispt as he entered atmosphere. As far as the gap between when he died and when he returned, I thought it was it took two years to bring him back to life AFTER he was turned over to Cerberus. Did it say they recovered him directly after the incident? Or did they never say?

The illusive man contacted Liara T'soni to find him. Investigate ME2 Lair of the Shadow Broker.

I have it but I dont recall the words since it has been some time since I played it. I do know that The Illusive Man got Liara to find Shepard but did it ever say how long it took to find his body? I know it took 2 years after finding him to get him up and alive again though.
