Namor VS Starfire

First off folks: Namor ISN'T faster in terms of flight speed. She can fly at near-lightspeed. She's like Superman. A solar battery. Thus when she goes into outer space she grows exponentially more powerful.

On Earth she can exceed Mach 3.

This is a closer battle than one might think. Starfire and Namor are actually more less equal in experience because A) Starfire is nearly two centuries old 2) Her life has been nothing but warfare and bloody combat since the day she was born. and 3) she's been trained in nearly every form of combat.

However her durability is not nearly as tough as the likes of Namor. High-Caliber weapons can hurt her.

Her strength is VERY undefinable. Sometimes she held her own against Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel. Other times she had trouble with the likes of Slade and Beast Boy. However based on her best performances she's definitely in the lower class 100s

I'm really surprised this fight has been called so close. If this was aquaman vs. Starfire everybody would be on the aquaman band wagon. Namor beats aquaman who can beat Starfire. 🙂

I think Aquaman had the advantage of telepathy though.

As to Aquaman being king of Atlantis before Namor took that role in his comics--that's because Namor was only the prince at the time, Thakorr was still around.

However, another of Bill Everett's underwater creations, Peter Noble--aka the Fin--was king of Neptunia, an Atlantis-like undersea kingdom, he came out in April of 41, as opposed to Aquaman's debut in November of 41 and he had many mystical ties--the cutlass for one, and I believe his ability to breathe underwater was hinted to be a mystical connection; alas he made few appearances and that is neither proven or disproven, at any rate Aquaman, while I do enjoy his current series and his character, is hardly original in any light.

Starfire can unleash tremendous firepower - I've seen her destroy tanks etc with absolute ease.

I've never seen her hit by a bullet, but generally she destroys any guns or incapacitates the gun wielders before they can be used.

In terms of flight speed she's fast... in terms of in combat speed, she doesn't hold a torch in any way shape or form to other people with super-speed....

Also - she has human endurance... in one issue she only gets four hours sleep in a night and comments at how she needs more than that... even Bats gets by on less than that at times! 😉

If Star can keep the range thing goign for her, then I believe she could take this.

But up close and nasty... I'd go for fish-dude.

Why don't people include polls any more on these threads? Namor wins this at least 7/10.

yeah, starfire is also a lot more expierenced, and faster than sunfire. and also in that pic it looks like he hits namor, but I may be wrong

So um...I am not denying it, but where does this almost two centuries of experience come?

What story? Has she naturally lived 200 years, or has she spent time in some alternate dimension like Superman and Wonder Woman? Where the time doesn't go naturally?

i think she has naturally lived 200 years. she should have more expierence, and at least on par with namor in fighting skills if not a better fighter. she's faster, and has powerful long ranged attacks. namor is only a little stronger, and a little more durable. I'd say it's at least 50/50

actually, her strength has never really had limits, sometimes she is strong enough to trade blows with wonder woman, and sometimes she is durable enough to trade blows with wonder woman. her strength and durability has varied from writer to writer, though she is the strongest titan there ever was.

i don't think age matters in comics. take wolverine and storm for example. he's over 100, and se's in her early 30's
