"What the hell is going on out there?" asked a voice coming out of the gates. "Shoot at her!" he shouted to the other guards.
"Tinechor." she muttered. a glowing light surrounded her, protecting her from the arrows.
"GET HER!!! DO NOT ALLOW HER TO ENTER!!!" shouted the man again. The men charged at her. Alaina was growing tired, but nevertheless she was prepared. The instant her hands went down the light disappeared.
"Quor na durth" she said clearly and fiercely.
The men that were charging towards her fell to the ground gasping for breath. They were dying quickly, and Alaina had to us this spell as a last resort. It was the only spell that didn't require that much energy from her. She could do no more magic, she had spent most of it on her shield that she had created. It was the only way she could have protected herself from the flying arrows.
"beln'e en amin men, n'ala amin ndenginlle" said Alaina in elvish.
"lle amin ndengin!" he spat at her.
"uum rutha amin!" she said to him anger rising in her voice.
"And what are you going to do? You drained your magic in that little shield of yours. NOW, prepare to die. You are to be hanged for treason in the first degree...trying to restore the Lord of the South."
"ENOUGH!" shouted a voice from the steps. Alaina recognized the person right away. It was the Ambassador, who was making the decision of the evasion.
"My Liege, this young girl here killed nearly half of the Royal Guard. She is a traitor to the elves. She must be punished."
"I had enough of you General. Gurth!" said the young Ambassador. The General was dead in an instant. Alaina let out a small scream, which she immediately covered her mouth.
"Now, Alaina, my dear." he started out soothingly. "You must be tired from your travel. Let me get you a room for you to sleep in." he reached for Alaina's hand. "It has been a long time since
I had seen your lovely eyes."
"Amin feuya ten' lle"
"Now Alaina. Let's be reasonable. That prince of yours will be lost in the war, so you would need to find someone else to marry. May I suggest..."
"Shut the hell up Ambassador. Prince Alagos will return safely, you'll see."
The Ambassador stood rooted to the ground, scowling at Alaina as she left him. He cast a spell to burn the bodies that laid on the ground. He then turned around and walked back to his throne room. He had to make her fall in love with him, and help him with his quest to rule
Pazour. But of course, he would need more than her good looks. He planned to gain her magic, making him far stronger than all. He would get rid of the wizards that keep their land together.
"My Liege, what do you command of me?" asked a sinister voice.
"Anacéile, I want you to get your Anar Mahtar to go after Alaina. And I want you to make sure that they don't fail!" he shouted.
"Very well My Liege. It shall be done right away." he bowed and left the room.
Alaina untied Anar Lote and rode off into the starless night. She was off to the inn, making her way back home. She wasn't going to linger here if the Ambassador already made his decision. She had no power over him. She was frustrated at herself for not getting their sooner. Her horse started to whinny. Something made the horse uneasy. Three figures jumped out of the trees on either side of her. They at first resembled rock, but were life like.
They came charging after her. Alaina jumped off Anar Lote and took out her dagger. She still hadn't got her magic back. She lashed at one of the rock like figures with the dagger, but it didn't even pierce its skin. One of them hit her with their rock like fist in the head. Alaina was dizzy. She could feel a little bit of magic running through her. She only had one shot to succeed. If not then she would die because of them.
She focused all of her magic in her into a small ball that looked like water. If these were truly like rock, then they would weaken because of it. It was almost ready to be unleashed. The ball grew a lighter shade of blue, and she raised it above her head. The ball got bigger slowly. They were charging after her now. This was one of her strongest spells that she learned. It is called Alu, or water in elvish.
"Beleg Alu." she muttered. The ball left her hands and hit the three rock like beings. Now was her chance to test her theory. She lunged at one of the rock creatures and hit it in the chest. It fell to the ground...dead. They were weaken so she could get rid of them. But she was too exhausted to carry on.
She was fading fast, and she could not go for another attack. When someone used magic it weakens them until they get their magic restored. It is quite a tedious thing to go through. That is why beginner people who start to learn magic rarely use it. Not even the master wizards use magic if they don't need to. It was a dangerous thing to do.
One of the creatures hit her in the stomach. She fell to the ground. The other was going after her until something shot it. It came from somewhere in the trees. She couldn't turn her head to see who it was. The last creature did though. It started to climb the tree. But these creatures couldn't seeing how they were made up of some rock substance. Another arrow hit the creature and it too was killed.
Her savior jumped out of the tree and landed softly on the ground. She couldn't see anymore for what ever reason. She was dazed from taking a blow to the stomach and the head. She could hear the person walking towards her. Whoever it was lifted her off the ground.
"Are you alright miss?" said the person. It was that of a male.
"Y-yeah...I think so." she muttered.
"Well that's good to hear. So where are you heading at this time of night?"
"Don't remember. I don't even remember who I am."
"That may happen by getting hit in the head."
"What was that anyway that hit me?" she asked.
"A rock warrior, or more commonly known as Anar Mahtar. Vicious little devils. I'm surprised that you were able to do that kind of magic."
"Me? Magic? I don't know any." she said puzzled.
"You don't even remember using that water spell to ward off them? You really are injured in the head. Maybe the Ambassador could help you. But he is in a right state though. Some paladin attacked his guards because she couldn't get into the building to see him."
"Yeah, I think I would do that." she said.
"Well come on then. I will help you get to him."
He helped her on to her horse. He walked beside Anar Lote. They were their in a matter of minutes. He helped her off and tied Anar Lote to a post. Their were no guards, so they just walked inside the building. The Ambassador was sitting in a chair in the next room. The man walked in and bowed deeply.
"Ambassador, this lady here, needs help. She was attacked by Anar Mahtar. If I wasn't there to save her then she would be dead."
"Well, well, well, well, well. Alaina you've come back to me. I have missed you so dearly." he said in a sweet voice.
"Ambassador, you know who she is then. She lost her memory. Doesn't remember much at all. She doesn't even remember using magic to save her life. She is quite good with it too. Well good night Ambassador."
"Good night to you too." he said. The man bowed and was out the door. "Anacéile!" shouted the Ambassador angrily. Anacéile came into the room. He had no hair on his head and a short grey goatee.
"Yes My Liege." he said deeply.
"You said that the Anar Mahtar would do that job. You have displeased me again Anacéile. I wanted Alaina out of the way, but you are lucky that the Anar Mahtar gave her amnesia."
"Indeed My Liege?" Anacéile surprised. "The Anar Mahtar never fail when they are on the hunt. Their skin is impenetrable."
"It is now? Tell me...how could you have not known that Alaina has magic?" he asked with anger rising in his voice.
"Me? I told the man already that I don't know magic." Alaina said all of a sudden.
"Shut up foolish girl." said the Ambassador hitting her in the face. She started to bleed all over.
"It would take strong magic to get rid of an Anar Mahtar, let alone three." said Anacéile calmly.
IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW WHAT IT SAYS IN ELVISH JUST PM ME PLEASE.
