The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars

I've always heard about how David Bowie is an amazing artist, but I never took the time to listen to him. One night I heard his song Ziggy Stardust and was hooked, I got the CD and I've been listening to it nonstop ever since. It's one of the greatest CDs I've heard in a while, every single track on it is amazing. The lyrics are really good too.

Has anyone else listened to this album? Or does anyone have a good Bowie album to recommend?

Anything by Bowie, to be fair, is reasonably solid.

David Bowie IS an amazing artist. One of my favorites, actually...

You also need to get more Bowie, much more.

Hunky Dory, Low, Heroes, Aladdin Sane, The Man Who Sold the World,
Space Oddity, Young Americans, and Diamond Dogs are all pretty much essential Bowie.

Awesome. Thanks for the suggestions.

I got that "Best of Bowie" 2 disc for $3 a couple of months back, and it never really stuck with me. 🙁

I respect his craft, and his following, but he's a great actor, especially in "Labyrinth".

I still have to see "Labyrinth", I've heard it's good. But definitely check out his Ziggy Stardust album anyways, it'll grow on you.

best of albums are generally bad ideas to buy

I saw Bowie in the eighties on the serious moonlight tour, he had some crap on that album sadly 🙁

haha...you guys are funny...I beat you in pointlessness though 😐

yeah,a nd bowie had his share of bad albums

and if you want to talk about an artist who was created by his agent...this is one. luckily he had talent too

Yeah, but it seems like almost any great artist or band can have their share of bad albums. It is a good thing he had talent.. unlike Ashlee Simpson. 🙄

David Bowie is one of the best musical artists ever. Its really hard to find something bad by Bowie. He is the chamaleon of music, he used several and diferent styles with the same susscess.
