The Devil's Elbow

Have a care for my approach, lingering in thine, my lofty summit…
A passable allure defining me, watching you arouse my disposition.
Ambition, greed, love…the power of repair, a fixture appropriate and fining me
And no longer can I see for my fervor of faith

Struck by the devil’s elbow
Casting his charm where the watcher’s snide
I hear the elite chortle, merry to see this weak fall
But no longer have I bothered with them
As foreign to their humor comes this change.
Saying as if I’m chosen…
Hyper to no one, still within while chasing further from
Modern, however the climate, I’m without more time to place myself.

Look more successfully into my eyes, and find a weary creature
Better stated than I’m sated whilst you choose, staring as I start to wither
Then perhaps you’ll save me from my destiny.
And maybe then…
You will choose to love me not for this beast
Aiding me for your mercy, and I forever grateful
But if nothing, a beast you shall have for your loyalty…
My eyes, my angel…my beautiful wife.

That's good 😊 But to make it easier on us, do you think you could put all your poems in one thread??
