I knew Murtagh was Eragons relative before the 2nd one was even realesed. Don't take that as bragging, i just wanted to point out that in the first book if you look at the amount of time Murtagh's mother was gone, the amount of time eragon's mother was in carvahall, it about matches up perfectly. anyways what i dont get is, Murtagh could of only had about 9-12 months of training, sumthing like that? but Eragons had training for much longer so how did murtagh beat him so easily. And another thing, i HOPE that orik becomes a rider. If you notice he doesn't seem to bear the same amount of hate against saphira as most dwarves should. Maybe the reason no dwarf has ever become a rider is because they hate the dragons for eating them up and stuff. And since orik doesnt hate dragons, a dragon (egg) might select him to be a rider.
I don't think that Eragon will be able to defeat Gallbatorix alone. he will either be helped by the Dragons who are suppose to be in hiding or he will learn Black magic.
I forget the elves name with the Golden Dragon, but he will not die where he is now. I believe that he will die in battle, at the last battle he will face Gallbatorix and die.
Eragon will find his weapon under the Merona Tree, and he will also lift the curse off Elva.
I don't think Murtagh dies, I think that after Gallbatorix dies he will no longer be bound to the ancient language thus Murtagh no longer does evil. I think he becomes King, because the Angela stated that Eragon would leave the land forever. He is the only other candidate so he has to become king.
Arya and Eragon will be married, I think this because Angela said that he would be married to royalty. The only female Royalty in this book is Arya and Nusuada he loves Arya thus he will be Married her.
Ya know what confuses me? Murtagh said that galbatorix know both of their tru names. It makes me wonder, does he really know eragons? he might be referring to the fake name eragon gave durza and durza might have told the king that...so does galbatorix know it or not?! and omg you know what my friend told me he saw on a diffrent forum? (feh yea right <sarcasm>😉 he said the epic romance angela predicted was with murtagh after he becomes king, that eragon and murtagh have a romance? thats sick and twisted in so many ways. i just about smacked my friend so many times when he said that. of course i think he was jk 🤪 🤨
Know when Murtagh said that I think he was talking about Himself, and Thorn his dragon.
I hope in the next book we get to experience some of it from Murtaghs eyes, kind of like how we did with Roran. I think Murtagh has the potential to be a more interesting character than Eragon. I think his Dragon Thorn will be a much better read then Saphira, and his character doesn' t seem to act like a ***** like Eragon does. It would be nice to learn about the black magic he knows, and how Thorn hatched for him.
I also cant wait to see what happens with the Dragons that are suppose to be in hiding.
hey i havent been here in ages
i think that in the third book arya will be mean to eragon and he will be like heart broken, then he'l leave the elvenlands and just wander around and finds a small town that takes care of him because when they find him he's like starving and he falls in love with the kings daughter
that or he gets forced to marry the princess after they see his dragon
i dont think galbatrix knows his true name

Yeah, I agree. I think Eragon's really stupid to think that only 'good' magic will help him. He's gotta face reality: He needs to learn dark magic. Evil, most of the time, wins. Okay, maybe not in stories, where the 'hero' always, no matter what trouble he/she's in, comes out on top. Stories like that aren't reality. They're just what we want reality to be. Sometimes good really does, in the end, triumph, but not without consequences. Like in wars, even if the 'good' side wins, just think of all the lives that were lost.
It would be good to see things from a different point of view. I know of only 3 other books that does this. The DragonLance Legends trilogy. They let you see the story from both sides. The good of Caramon, and the evil of Raistlin.
I hope that we WILL see things from Murtagh's eyes, but inside, I doubt it.
