Its similar to the Force, where the Dark side is the quick, easy path, while the light is more difficult, yet stronger in the long run.
So to sum up Shin Ryu > Shin Akuma > Ryu = Akuma > Alpha Ryu > Master Chief in Pink armor > Master Chief
