I am still trying to figure out why BA turned his back on Supes when he was gonna unleash the fury on him.

I think he thought that Supes was done playin and took the easy way out.

Yeah and knowing BA he doesn't just sit around fighting all day long, he's a bit more clever then that normally. BA is the same guy who has the stones to fly through Spectre's Head/Face, I sincerely doubt Superman intimidated him with his up and coming "fury" what so ever.
