Sentry still isn't showing us much yet - is he?

Ion posted scans in the 'Comic Book Scans' thread, last page, last post so far.

Doesn't look like a fight so much as a light show to me.

Just goes to show that people nowadays don't care about two people beating each other senseless but woud rather see someone simply be overly powerful.

To me it looked like Genis schooled Sentry.

What kind of picture do you think they were trying to paint?

I wont say Sentry can take out Genis until something like that is actually shown or he shows that he is capable.

Yes thats why Fire lord was beaten by Spider man in Fire lords book. 🙄

IMO Sentry has actually been very Impressive. I've just re read the last 11 Avenger titles and his first appearance in his own mini.

Feats So Far:

Strength :

Rip Carnage in two
made Terrax look like a silly girl (Terrax used to be a Level 6 character)
Decapitated Attuma
Took On Attuma's entire army, by himself
Stated that he could have easily lifted that tanker (Note he was forced to ram it into the shore to save life's)
The void flattened the following powerhouses; Namor, Thing, Black Bolt and Cage

Light Powers :

Able to create the Void, who nearly killed Strange, Namor, FF4, the Inhumans, the Avengers and Astonishing X-men at the same time
It looks like he can manipulate light into physical constructs, like the Green lanterns.
The last T Bolts issue suggested he could absorb light from anywhere in the universe.

Psychic powers :

Both Mastermind and Emma Frost remarked on how powerful he is
Made everyone in the world, including Charles Xavier forget who he was.

Speed :
Was able to prevent a series of catastrophe's through out the globe in 10 seconds. (These included a full scale invasion by Attuma, and the rescuing of an oil tanker)
Able to Keep up with Photon in the recent battle. Photon has super speed + Cosmic awareness

Durability:

Took a full scale, point blank, power cosmic blast from Terrax (This guy has the power to move entire cities by TK and is nearly as powerful as the Surfer), without flinching.

From first impressions his powers suggest he is an amalgamation of Superman, Green Lantern and the MM. As stated b4 Photon is in his own book and therefor the writer is likely to be biased. From first impression Sentry will be able to deal with Thanos n the near future.

I think Sentry or Photon, either one of them, could already deal with Thanos. I mean, Sentry went toe-to-toe with Photon, who is now even more powerful than he was when he was insane, who went toe-to-toe with King Thor, a f*cking skyfather!

But no, it doesnt matter wut book it is in. Firelord losing to Spiderman is a lil thing called PIS. Most books nowadays dont do stupid shit like that anymore, so Photon getting the better of Sentry was valid.

If by went toe to toe you mean "Was talking big, then got punked and his shields were broken and he got thrown back on his ass by a King Thor that didn't even want to hurt him, just teach him his place" then you are correct 🙂

um, actually, he took a shot from King Thor, was back up in the next panel, the blasted him back. They each got a shot in, and both of them hurt each other with their shots, so for now, until they fight again someday where it will be decided, the decision remains that they are equal since their is no proof on to who is more powerful.

But by the way, King Thor DID want to hurt Genis, badly. Genis was actually the one restraining himself.

Genis did get flattened by Atlas and knocked out for like five issues. I was I was thinking, "WTF?"

But he just made a coccoon or something and came back different.

It was a stalemate. They both got hits in. King Thor threw his hammer at Genis, it knocked him back, then Genis regained his composure quickly and blasted King Thor. The battle was just getting good until those idiots Sturm and Drang appeared. Genis killed one of the Giants quite easily. Shot him right through his eye. If Superman took that hammer shot from King Thor, he'd be KO'd. 🙂

Sentry = Genis = King Thor > Heralds 🙂 Except Destroyer. Destroyer would rape all 3 of them if written to potential.

All Thor did was throw his hammer which sent Genis sailing. Now Genis at his full potential is something to see. He was killing Skrull, Sh'iar and Kree armies without leaving his house. That Genis would school Sentry or Thor or anyone Skyfather and below but he isn't there yet.

I have that issue. Yes he would. But Sentry was holding back. We don't know the full extent of his powers yet either. For now I'm gonna say Genis is more powerful. Genis was always one of my favorites.

Sentry didnt make everyone forget through psychic powers he did it through Watchtower.
