I feel sorry for Christians, they live in fear.
agreed ... they live in the fear of the devil AND their god, who states that practically everything is a sin, and they live in fear that whatever they do is considered a sin ... so basically, theyre deprived since most christians are brought up as christians and even more of them are brainwashed 😉
Wicca was originally founded by Gerald Gardner most likely in the 1940s, first openly revealed in 1954.
Many believe he invented it himself, and feel that his writings were more his own creations than true (and ancient) practices that had been handed down through generations.
Even though there may be ideas, concepts, practices, or beliefs in the Wicca we know today that are based in older knowledge, the collected whole as presented by Gardner only came into existence in the 1950s. You can' t refer to people as being wiccan before the 1940s.
Furthermore, Wicca is a religion whereas Witchcraft is a practice. The practice of witchcraft is not associated with any religion, therefore you can be a witch and yet also be a member of any number of religions. Not all Witches are Wiccan, nor are all Wiccans Witches.

I didn't realize that. However, you have a more regimented idea about what a religion is, I call everything a religion. 😄
