If he did you can bet you would have been attacked before now.' Dumbledore paused looking at Harry, ' Sir if your soul got preserved in this book, is it possible to bring you back, return you to your body?' Harry seemed to totally forget what Dumbledore had just told him, 'Yes Harry it is possible and that is why I needed you to get this book, you see only the heir of Gryffindor could have used this book like you have, this was the item he used to preserve his soul. Find Severus and he will be bale to return me to my body, then Harry I will help you utilise the powerful mgic you posess. Do it Harry, where Severus lies you will find what you seek. Next moment Harry found himself lying on his bed, his head spinning from the revelations Dumbledore had just told him. As Harrys mind began to focus on the room, he noticed he wasn't alone, Hermione was sitting at the foot of his bed, this was the first time he had seen her for days. 'Harry, where have you been, you've been gone for ages!' she had a look of shock on her face. 'Erm... I been with Dumbledore, I didn't realise I had been gone so long. Theres somethign I have to tell you Hermione...' Harry proceeded to tell Hermione exactly what Dumbledore had just told him. When he had finished Hermione had an identical expression to what Harry had had when Dumbledore revealed to him who he was.
The following week went by slowly, the Order had received no intelligence of Snapes whereabouts. The month of August drew to an end and the !st of September approached, soon Hogwarts would hopefully be brimming with students.
As the sun fell behind the forest, the unfamiliar sound of masses of people could be heard coming along the main path. Harry and Hermione meanwhile settled themselves in at the Gryffindor table. Slowly the flow of students came through the door, Harry noticed it was significantly smaller than in previous years. Once everyone had come through Harry looked around, there were noticable absences, the Patil twins, Ginny, Seamus and basically the whole of Slytherin above the 5th year. But most of all there was no Ron. It was his fault, Ron had told FRed the night Draco was taken that he couldn't stand losing his girlfriend to Harry as well as his family, and that he wouldn't stop till Harry was dead!

The usual loud chatter begasn to steadily rise louder and louder, until the unfamiliar figure of Professor McGonagell stood at the staff table, she didnt have the same aura of respect as Dumbledore had had, but nonetheless the students quietened. 'Welcome back to another year at Hogwarts. Following last years tragic events, I have been given the role of Headteacher. Proffessor Slughorn has kindly remained as Potions master and I would like you all to welcome back Professor Lupin who will be taking up his old post of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Usually the beginning of term speech is given after you have eaten, however I would like to say a few things. Firstly last year we lost the most powerful wizard and nicest person I have ever met, he was taken from us at a time when we needed him most. He will be missed but never forgotten. Secondly the power of You-Know-Who has become more and more apparent over the summer, therefore all trips to Hogsmeade have been cancelled until further notice. In this new year we have not taken first years, the board of governers felt that they should remain with there families until the threat has disappeared. In this year you will all face challenges be it academic or otherwise,' McGonagell paused briefly and loked at Harry as did many others,'You must all stick together that is the only way we can get through this period. Now please eat you must all be hungry.' With that McGonagell stepped down and took her seat in the middle of the table.
