My Little Story
I started writing this story a few months ago and never quite got around to finishing it. Please tell me how you like it so far though.
P.S. I am terrible at comming up with names for things, so don't blame me for my terrible names.
Chaos falls to the ground as he is hit by an onslaught of sword slashes, he lies there barely conscious as he is hit by blow after blow, after his opponent is finished chaos finds himself with many opens wounds and with his arm cut off, he scowls in pain as he attempts to get up but falls to the ground again, he finally succeeds and regains his balance as he goes over his wounds and starts to get ready to attack his opponent, he uses his remaining arm to take up his sword and swings it viciously at his opponent and missing, he comes back for another blow and makes contact, sending his opponent flying into a large rock nearby, his opponent falls to the ground and slowly gets onto his feet, he charges at the recuperating chaos and takes a swipe at him, chaos avoids the blow and lands another of his own, he then jumps into the air, and comes down almost landing a fatal blow and is stopped by an interfering figure, he immediately drops his weapon and bows to his teacher who leads him inside to a bed where the healers tend to the needy, chaos is rubbed down with salves and assorted medicinal herbs to help him recover form his training battle with another member of his dojo. After the healers leave chaos he lays in peace upon a bed in the hospital wing, he doses off into a deep sleep.
When chaos wakes up a few days later he finds himself with his wounds fully healed and his arm restored and regrown due to the magic healing liquids. Chaos walks outside to the training area and finds his master. He asks the happenings of the past few days and the whereabouts of his sparring partner, Ryan, chaos is briefed about the recent happenings and hears about the news that there is an evil afoot, chaos’ master explains about the approaching wave of warriors banded together under the purpose of ruling the earth, he explains their origins, their victories, their strengths and weaknesses, and their conquests, he also tells chaos about the seemingly endless numbers of troops at their disposal. He tells chaos all this and then tells chaos to walk into the next room with him, there chaos sees all the pupils of the entire dojo training as hard as they could, then chaos hears his master say, “We must confront the evil armies.” Chaos walks around the room after his master departs, admiring the size of the dojo, he had never actually seen everyone together at once, and it was truly a sight to see. Chaos seeked out his partner and called his attention “Ryan I need to talk to you” chaos said to his friend as Ryan walked over to him, “That last spar was one to behold” Ryan quickly said and chaos nodded his head in agreement. “That is true but we have a problem.” Chaos said as he looked Ryan in the eyes “And exactly what is our problem” Ryan replied questioningly as he met chaos’ stare. “We do not have the numbers to take on an entire army by ourselves” said chaos as he paced back and forth wondering how they can survive this ordeal. Ryan replied after a few seconds “That is true” he paused “I know of a neighboring dojo a few hundred miles away form here, if we can safely make our way there, we can request reinforcements to fight the armies of evil.” “This would be a bold move” chaos said after considering the possibilities, “But it seems to be our only chance. Let us train hard today, for tomorrow we begin our journey” With that chaos and Ryan split apart, chaos to train, and Ryan to tell the master of their upcoming adventure.
Chaos is awakened the next morning by Ryan, who has packed up all the things they will need for their journey, they eat their breakfast that morning with the rest on the dojo and say their goodbyes to their friends and family incase they don’t make it back, they depart for the other dojo at noon, heading at a steady pace towards their destination, they are happily chatting about the days to come and the recent news, they walk until sundown and build a fire and sit around it, they cook up a meal of large proportion to restore their energy after a long day of progression, then crawl into their sleeping bags to rest for the night.
Later that night chaos is roused by a strange rustling in the bushes, he wakes Ryan and they quietly sit waiting for the thing to show itself, they sit and sit for hours, waiting for any sign of the creature showing itself. They draw their swords in unison as they see an arm slowly move out of the bushes. The arm withdraws itself and moments later the two boys are rushed by bandits, who bring with them a famous history of skill with blades, Chaos and Ryan are immediately surrounded by five bandits, ready to strike and kill, then plunder the boy’s supplies. Ryan runs forward and tries to stab one of the bandits but is dodged quickly and quickly countered. Ryan narrowly blocks a blow to his shoulder as chaos joins in, fighting with the bandits alongside Ryan. They hack and slash, dodge and stab, and spin and strike with no end in sight until finally only one bandit remains. Chaos and Ryan attack the bandit from both sides and are met with a fierce parry to both attacks. The bandit jumps to the side and slashes chaos’ leg slightly, causing a huge cut. The duo quickly finishes off the last bandit before tending to their wounds. They clean and bandage chaos’ leg before returning to their sleep, preparing to journey toward their destination for a longer time, and thinking about the encounter with the bandits they had had tonight.
Chaos finds a rough awakening by the howl of pain in the distance and the battle cries of many men striking against on another in an attempt to claim the lands nearby. He spots Ryan who is preparing to hike onward towards the neighboring dojo, as Chaos tries to rise he finds himself unable due to his recent wound. As the ecstatic Ryan surveys Chaos he resolves that he must go on to get help and says reluctantly to Chaos, “Stay here as I press on the fins aid.” As Ryan swiftly runs away for their resting place chaos closes his eyes as he falls unconscious and loses touch with reality.
Left, right, left, right, Ryan says to himself as he runs towards the battle scene, trying to find a battlefield medic to help Chaos. Ryan breaks his stare at the ground to see thousands of men fighting. “Kill or be killed,” Ryan thinks to himself, watching the mass slaughter ahead of him. He snaps out of his gaze and runs up to a man in the back of the action, assuming that he is commander of the army according to his uniform. As he starts to pant he stops running right in front of the commander, who stares down at him bewilderedly. Ryan regains his breath and looks up at the face of the soldier he sees and notices the characteristics of Master Taechiko, the master of the dojo Chaos and he were trying to locate. With his the last of his breath he tells to the man, “Please, help us” then falls to the ground of exhaustion.
As Ryan’s eyes open then squint quickly, adjusting to the light he sees he is in a building with doctors surrounding him. As he sits up, yawning, he looks around and notices he is in the hospital wing of another dojo, he remembers what happened and looks at one of the doctors, “What about my friend?” he begins, “Did you find hi…” he is interrupted by Master Taechiko who says reassuringly, “We traced your footprint to see where you came from and found him, he is in the next room, but is still out like a light.” With that Ryan jumps out of the bed he was laying in and stretches as the master takes him through a door and into another room, almost identical to the one he was in. There he sees chaos, lying there with and obviously treated scar on his right leg. As Chaos’ face twitches, Ryan walks over to his side and fills him in on their current location.
As chaos wearily steps off of the bed he is delighted by the good news that they had accomplished the goal of getting here, he asks Master Taechiko if it would be ok to have a look around.
In the training wing of the dojo facility Chaos and Ryan find themselves being welcomed into the dojo kindly by the students who train there. They chat with some students of the same age about sword fighting and what kind of techniques they use. They tell them the story of how they came to this dojo and their new friends stare in awe at the brave duo of Chaos and Ryan. Soon enough, after engaging in conversation with many of the pupils in the dojo, the two boys are confronted by Master Taechiko, who asks them why they have come to his dojo. “We have come in hopes of your help to fight off the hordes of evil and restore order to the planet,” says Chaos to the master and points towards his dojo, “The master of our dojo hopes that you can join us.” Master Taechiko thinks to himself about the danger and risks that would be caused, but decides he must stand for what is right and reluctantly replies to the boys, “You have our support.”
After sending a messenger to contact the boy’s dojo they decide to look around. They see that this place is very organized and that most of the pupils mean business. They then find their selves wandering into the armory. They are amazed by the, blinding shine most of the swords I the room were giving off. Chaos walks over to one sword that seems to stick out among the rest. He sees that it is tinted red due to massive amounts of men it must have been used to slay. As he admires the designs and runes that had been inscribed into the great blade he hears Ryan calling to him from behind, he looks behind his back at Ryan and is beckoned over to him. Chaos hesitates and takes another look at the bloodstained sword he then runs over to Ryan and starts to talk.
