Alright... Some things to dispel.
1.) The original punk IS dead. The First wave of punk-rockers.. The Pre-Punk Garage scene, the Velvet Underground, the U.K. Underground.. They were THE punk rock, but their time has passed. However, the torch so to speak has been picked up by younger bands, and there is still a few from the first and second waves of punk-rock still around. The Adicts are a perfect example of this.
2.) The punk-rock culture never has and never will die. It occasionally goes into hiding but it always comes back. I am a good example of this.
And Simple Plan and Green Day are in no way, shape or form punk. Anyone who wears a shirt that says "punk is not dead" is a plughole. 😄
