What does this sentence mean?

Is there any meaning in asking what it doesn't mean?

Which sentence? The first one?

Yes

it means you raised a question about the meaning of a sentence

No, but the sentence itself is questioning itself...I'm not sure what it means either. It's sorta an experiment with words.

I don't like words.......I wish we didn't have them.....

Though this one is like a dog chasing it's tail...

or is it the tail chasing its dog?

Tails can't chase dogs.....I've watched.....

Maybe it doesn´t mean anything special, just that you raised a question about the meaning of a sentence, like finti said.

Usually when we ask the meaning of something we are trying to find something implicit in that sentence, like in the sentence "A is not greater than B" which means that "B is greater than A". But the sentence "What does this sentence mean?" has nothing implicit in it, so I think it means what it is saying explicitly.

words are formed by using letters, letters are symbols

your sentance means whatever your symbols are interpreted as. to english speaking people...you sound confused for not even knowing what your own words mean.

but interpret it as you will
