okay well, I think I maybe have given a definition of a demon already but I will give a newer up to date one

Demon- A nonhuman intelligence that interacts with the material world and is connected with the direction of lower plane activities. They resentful and jealous of human life.They want to Psychologically brake the human and possess them.

*you will find demons usual attack the weakest link in the family because it will tear the family apart and cause anger and suspicions among family members.

*Demons will also attack very Pious(Religious) People. This is logical if you think about it. According to Christianity demons are the opposite of God and his heavenly bodies (angels) so they will want to take a Religious person away from God and try and destroy them.

Now I will give you a few causes/how they enter, that I learnt in class.

1) attraction--> Person/Location
2) accident--> ex. move into demonic location
3)conjuring--> black magic,Ouija board etc
4)Psychological imbalance.---> excessive sorrow,obsessions etc.

Explanations:

1) Attraction: People who like evil, and want evil around them. Also locations say perhaps were sacrifices may have been made

2) Accident: Moving into a house where the prior owner may have been involved in satanic worship or the house was built on grounds where demons were attracted too.

3) Conjuring--> bringing/welcoming them into your life or home. Being involved in dark magic. Qujia boards is basically a portal from demonic infestation. Sometimes when playing with a Ouija board it will seem like a 'good' entity or spirit is moving the dial (don't know the name for the part the moves to the letters)but its not. Only negative will come out of it. A lot of the intellectual demons will pose as someone you know that has passed on, but its not them. You can tell if you look carefully, say you see the entity take a pic, and if it has no eyes or say 15 fingers its demonic, something will be off and not with the 'norm'

4) Psychological Imbalance --> Some Psychological issues are brought about my demons, other times a natural occurring Psychological imbalance can bring demons in. This one is very controversial. A lot of people pass off Possession as a medical disorder this is only one way Possession can happen. and not all Psychological medical disorders are related to demons. Thats why a number of doctors first must study a patient and if unable to find whats wrong the Church is brought in.

Well, while reading most of your posts (as well as SpellJammer's, don't worry; you're not alone ^_~) I generally feel possessed to stab myself in the eyes with a rusty spoon. I doubt there are any demons invading my brain; mostly it's stupidity.

Do you not believe that it's more realistic to base possession on psychological problems coming to fruition rather than labelling it as something supernatural? Because in many cases 'possession' has been shown to just be a state of mind caused by earthly elements and situations.

see that depends where your spiritual beliefs lie. I know people can have mental disorders which are caused by many things (biological,psychical abuse etc). But that does not eliminate the possibility of demonic possession. Some people are just nuts and say they are possessed (like saying a UFO will come get them and take them to hell )others do it for attention. But I can tell you a true story about a 'possession' I don't know if you will believe it but I can tell you anyway 😮

Okay well our Group leader Kevin works at a hospital, he is a smoker so on his brakes he goes outside and has a smoke. one day a nurse came out for brake and he said she looked really upset. He asked her what was wrong and she said we just brought in a patient and had to restrain him (by his ankles and wrists being tied down). They put the man in a hospital room in the Psych unit and they put a nurse in the room with him. She had to sit with him, she had the patient sitting so that his back was to her. (now here is the freaky part) the mans head totally turned around and faced her asking how her daughter was and it even called the daughter by name. Now I know this may sound a bit fake or Hollywood but according to the nurse it actually happened.
