I personally wouldn't trust Eidos to make a Deus Ex game. It seems like most of the truly "great" game producers tend to be in dire straights right now, while those that simply produce games for the "market" are doing well.
Which is a dead shame... Games want to become an average game that appeals to many different people so that it will sell better. Deus Ex without any doubt one of the greatest games ever sold 1 million copy's, Deus Ex II sold far more, even though it wasn't a better game by any standards but graphics and a slightly improved AI.
Or just look at Enter the Matrix, sold five million copy's when the game sucked, the devs however never made a game like that before and always had great games but they didn't sell all that well. Conclusion make your game popular and you make more money. No reason most good games don't get finished anymore.
