Top 10 NBA players

Nope. Think about it like this

If Kandi came to your High School and played for your team, could you be beaten?

I'm not saying that Olowokandi sucks, I'm proving that you implied he sucks. No way, Olowokandi is like a superstar compared to guys like Jason Collins, who if was 2 inches shorter and 10 pounds lighter, wouldn't be in the NBA. A perfect example of a player who sucks, but is playing in the league because he's big.

Jason Collins is better then Kandi and would dominate any High School league and be a stud in College just like how Kandi would.

Oh and saying I implied Kandi sucks because I singled him out would be like saying I implied Big Z sucks if you put him in a list of players better then Kobe and singled him out.

BTW: Being big is just as much a part of being good as anything. You think Jordan would have been as good if he was AI's size? PFFFF

You're comparing Miles with Kobe??? 😱 Please, say it ain't so.

No it isn't. The probability that Collins wouldn't be in the NBA had he been 2 inches shorter proves that even with the same basketball skill, height can be the deciding factor between making the NBA and not making it. That's exactly my point, Jordan wouldn't be as good if he were AI's size. Being taller doesn't make you more skilled.

Interesting I was just reading this when you typed that.

"Idiotic Debating Tactics

i know there was a thread on this, but alas they changed the search function and i cant find it.

what are the stupidest tactics for debating you have seen?
no names please, just state it, and if giving an example do not paste a debate from another thread. just give a hypothetical example.

example:

one which has been reoccuring very often is what i will refer to as "run with the analogy". this is a tactic where, when an opponent shoots out an abstract analogy to illustrate their pattern of logic, the poster will ignore that it was simply an analogy and run with it, accusing the opponent of making a direct comparison...all the time completely dodging the point, imho very much on purpose.

poster 1: you shouldnt just get pregnant without knowing what you're getting into. parenting is a heavy responsibility. to go about it in a rush and without proper planning would be like running through traffic blindfolded.

poster 2: omg how can you compare parenting with running through traffic? how stupid. only an idiot would compare the two (on and on)

i can think of a million of them, but lets hear your observations."

That was a pretty retarded retort but let me just get one thing straight

you say being taller doesn't make you more skilled but at the same time say Jordan wouldn't be as good if he were AI's size? What's up with that?

No stupid, I was talking about when you said Collins is better than Olowokandi, which never was the case, and will never happen.

yep, only a person as desperate to avoid humiliation as you would take the time to search this crap and post it.

I find it surprising that you cannot compute the simplest statement. Lets say we have 6 foot Jordan and 6 foot 6 Jordan side by side: different size but same exact skill level. Who's going to be more dominant and effective in the league? 6 foot 6 jordan, because he's bigger and stronger, and he can deal with the big guys better. But keep in mind they have the same skill level. Same skill level, but one is "better."

NBA.com -> Stats -> Jason Collins -> Comparison -> Boston Celtics -> Michael Olowokandi.

Since in this forum everyone needs everything spelled out for them.

*The sound of yet another point going completely over your head*

So wait, you can be worse then a player who's skills are equal to your own? 😂

No, not everyone. Only you need things spelled out for you. Of course your too dumb to understand that Jason Collins is a STARTER for the nets and averages almost twice the minutes of Olowokandi. Plus, Jason is a part of the nets rotation, as he is sadly an important part of their squad (the nets having no front court strength whatsoever), which obviously gets you better stats.

The sound of yet another futile last ditch attempt to win this argument.

This idiotic comment proves that you don't know the function of quotations marks.

Nenad Kristic? Richard Jefferson? Sounds like front court strength to me. Oh and compare the last year numbers, when they got around the same amount of minutes, and you get about the same stats.

The sound of the personification of the word dumbass.

Last year, Olowokandi played for Minnesota and Boston. In Minnesota, he averaged 23 minutes, while Collins averaged 26, so lets compare those stats, because in Boston, he averaged 10 minutes and wasn't part of the rotation. Olowokandi averaged 6 points, while Collins averaged 3.6. Olowokandi averaged 5.6 rebounds to Collins' 4.8. Everything else was pretty much the same. They were close, but saying Collins is better is ridiculous.

Nenad are you kidding me? He's softer than a feather. He is a good shooter, but when it comes to being a strong center, he's almost as weak and sluggish as Collins. Jefferson is part of the big three, and apart from that, cliff robinson who is 40 years old, was the only other legit contributer last year.

Nenad is putting up GOOD numbers. If they are close how is saying Collins better ridiculous?

I know what quotation marks are, dumbshit; what I don't know is how aformentioned quotation marks makes the statement any less retarded.

Did I ever say Nenad wasn't putting up good numbers? Why don't you actually read my post, stupid? He's soft, he exemplifies the opposite of a strong center. That's why I commented on the STRENGTH of the nets frontcourt. Pay attention to detail.

You obviously don't. Any logical person would understand what I meant. I used quotation marks to show that we use the term "better" when meaning that any given short player would be more dominant if he was taller, and any given big man would be less dominant if he was shorter.

I'm done explaining this simple concept to such a dumbass.

If he's putting up good numbers and contributing well to the team how is he soft? Because he takes jumpshots? Would you rather have Eric Dampier as your center? Naz Muhammed?

So I'm right. Good show.

BTW: That was one of the most retarded explanations/arguments I've ever seen in my life, pat yourself on the back. 😄

Do you know what the term "Soft" means? Tell me what it means before I respond.

No, there are retarded explanations, and then there are just retarted people who can't understand simple concepts. This circumstance would be the latter.

1.) Oh I know what soft means, being a 61% spot up shooter =/= soft.

2.) And there are the intelligent people that know that if you have two people with equal skill then one can't be better then the other.

Yeah, so tell me what it means before I respond. I'm not gonna respond unless I know we're on the same page on at least.
