Not as it concerns Tessa the reaper. I don't think Tessa "healed" Dean, I think she "undeathed" him. But because Dean had to live when he was dead, the natural order says that someone has do die if a person who was going to die is going to live - we learned that in the faith healer episode. So yellow-eyes "controls" death, like the preacher's wife "controls" death in that earlier epi.

I remember watching the Sam/CR demon epi a long time ago, I'd have to rewatch it to make sure I knew what I was talking about.

What exactly is the difference between healing and "un-deating"? Khan's blood in Star Trek:Into the Darkness was able to revive a dead Kirk back to life.

No, that was a binding spell. What Yellow-Eyes did was straight up possession of the reaper.

Cain was the only interesting part about this episode. Also, I am surprised why they didn't bring up the ancestral bloodline connection between him and Dean. Would have been a great way for Dean to make some funny grandpa-jokes.

Anyways, between Cain and Abel, whom do people around here think was supposed to be the respective vessel for Lucifer and Michael?

With the way the episode was going im going to assume that Abel would have been the vessel for Lucifer.

To quote Eddie Griffin to address Dean and Sam's ancestral connection to Cain and Abel: "Where these mystery b@tches come from?!"

But yeah this episode was pretty lackluster oh and Abel was more than likely going to be the vessel.

Just started watching it, about 4 episodes into the 1st season, kinda lame, should I keep watching?

^The storyline gets progressively better up till the 5th season, and then it goes downhill from there on.

I guess you're put off by the filler aspect of this show?

My only real gripe about the show is how even with the Big Cosmic Season Overlap story is how they still seem to find time to go help the shmoes in Shmoeville.

I mean. The WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!
Solve that prob. Not worry about a killing or 2 here or there UNTIL THE EVERYONE IN THE WORLD IS GONNA DIE problem.

Ill keep watching if you say it gets better, it only goes up to season on on netflix unfortunately.

What season do the angels start showing up?

Supernatural has the tendency to, and this happens every season, start off well, dip in the middle, and then get good at the end of the season. It does this pretty much every year.

Season 4 is when they really show up, iirc. Seasons 4 and 5 are excellent. 6 is all right. 7 is widely considered to be pretty weak, but 8 is an improvement.

Honestly, no harm in watching it, if you have access to it.

God damn, nothing is happening so far...can I just skip some seasons?

If you're still in the first season, keep it up. You shall be rewarded for your persistence. Season 2 is already better, and they just increase in goodness to season 5. That's when the creator left the show as writer/director, and just became involved in production.

I just finished Season 8, and I really, really loved the whole "Men of Letters" story/plot/aspect.

Well I'm saw the most recent episode of Supernatural and I have to say I'm not really that excited for the finale. I mean I was really looking forward to

Someone making contact with Lucifer in order to forcibly get the angels back into heaven and remove Metaron: then having Sam consent to Lucifer. All of this leading to the future we saw back in Season 5 which would prove that destiny really is inevitable

I think the monster of the week thing of the first season was amazing, and they sort of watered the show down with their overarching story arcs, but oh well.
