But I don't click it twice, I just do it once.

As far as I can tell, it does that when the quick edit hasn't worked. Had that crop up a few times.

for me it works as i said

one click > quick edit
double click > old edit

It's been happening with me too, seemingly randomly.

Also, when one goes to add in tags, such as italicization, is it supposed to go to the 'advanced' edit? Nearly every time I've tried adding in tags, it returns to the old edit page, even if it's completely unnecessary.

Also, signs such as '£' and quotation marks are coming up weird if they're in a post which has been edited. And they won't go back to normal until the post is edited on the edit page.

I can't remember the exact posts it happened on, it was a couple in this thread.

I don't know if that is what lana meant but I have a, well mionor problem, but it kind of destroys the advantage of the quick edit.

When I click on edit it first goes to the quick edit screen, but then it will only edit it right away half the time while the other half it will bring me back to the old edit screen.........

Mine is still taking me to the edit page at times and at others quick edit is working, and it's still having problems with things such as £ and ".

I found an astounding pattern...when there is a quote in my Quick Edit box it will lead me to the old Edit Screen when in hiut save..whule when theree's no quote in there it will jsut change it right away......

You mean when you want to edit a post, it only does quick edit when there's no quote in your post?

[edit] I tested it in my Batcave .... I think I am right...question would be what happens with other tags like Image, Url, and similar....
