I think she meant it more as a retort to Master Bruce than as an insult to you, besides the fact that I am cut, my BF isn't as low as yours but it hovers between 11-14 percent depending if I'm bulking or not.
I don't like it to drop any lower than that, I feel like crap if it drops any lower and I find I lose strength.
I'm more into the strength aspect of training than I am into sculpting, I can apreciate how you look without wanting to look like you myself.
We all have different goals though, Marea (Pure Poison) has seen more of me than anyone here is EVER going to see and she was just saying, besides, I doubt many of us that do train do it for the sole purpose of intimidating anyone.
Oh and for the record, I'm natural too.

And being cut doesn't matter if you don't have the strength to back up your muscle definition.A muscular big guy can generally take care of himself, better then a ripped skinny guy. 😬
By definition of Ripped, I mean someone who is in great shape with low bodyfat that comes from intensive training, not just some guy that lifts alot of weight in one or two areas. (big guys)
I know tons of guys like that from basic and football (big guys) when they would hit the gym. Their bodies just can't put out the same amount of power. Power, flexibility, and stamina is more important than strength. It's more important to be able to use 60% of your power for longer periods of time than to use 90% of your power for a short burst. Being the former is better and more practical.
From what I seen most big guys can't fight as well, and really just intimidate others.
But I was talking about physical shape, rather than fighting skill, if you do cardio and work your body, you'll be in great shape without having to lift a weight. You can bench 500 and be in bad shape.
But I *can* fight and I'm in shape and large enough so none of those even apply to me. 😄
Mine wasn't a retort either but an explanation. There is nothing wrong with my muscular size. Though I'm at the point now where I might just start maintaining or grow more, since my muscles repair fast that I beat my old physique from 05 in just a few weeks.
Originally posted by HerculesI agree, you should be both, everyone is aiming for different things here, that was what me and HP were talking about. HP wants to be big and I like how I look, props to you for that. I myself didn't even use weights until this year.

Do you bodybuild?

Yes I bodybuild, for about 7 years or so now, I'm at a size now where I just try to maintain what I have, not interested in getting any bigger.
In fact I have dropped about 7 or 8lbs the last month or so, saw 300 and decided I wanted to cut up, upped my cardio and cut some carbs from my diet.
Looked great but felt like death and had no energy so starting to gain again, I don't honeslty know how you can keep your bodyfat that low without feeling like crap.
I guess its in the genes?
I agree with you about the cardio, endurance is important, I like to keep my general all round fitness high.
Originally posted by HerculesWell I have entered competitions, but I do what I call "bodysculpting", I want to be toned and look and feel good. I have seen the use of illegal things and other stuff like Creatin which I just don't like. So I have something against it myself (sorry if you use it).

I just get a buzz out of lifting and challenging myself, first time I grabbed two 50kilo dumbells and put them up there and benched them, I felt good about myself, as they were the biggest dumbells in the gym.
I know its not about the numbers, I have seen some idiots do themselves serious injury by trying to put up more than they could handle, I have also seen a guy have three spotters basicaly lift the bar for him and still claim to have benched 400lbs.
But when you lift something, that you haven't lifted before and with good form, you just feel like you have achieved something.
I agree with you about the cardio, endurance is important, I would rather be pretty big and have all round fitness than be huge and not in shape.
And yea, people do BS about what they lift. I lift weights naturally like when I do my lawn business, or when I do projects that involve lots of lifting. I wasn't a serious lifter who maxed out except for football though. I just like being in practical shape that I use in everyday life. Even if it does look a bit freaky.
My family has alot of big people, my entire dad's side is obese and diabetic. I guess I just have alot of lucky recessive genes here and there. What it really is, is the fact that I can work out 7 days a week, torso in daytime, and legs at night, and do cardio since my muscles repair extremely fast and my bones are very dense. I have a very odd body, people usually relate it to Spiderman because it's just really tight and lean. I myself can gain weight, but I make sure it's all muscle, my weight jumps up and down very fast.
You caught me before my edit, I took the numbers out because I didn't want it to look like an internet tough guy post!
Good genes are important but you have to put the work in, seems like you have/do both!
I rarely max out, I like to use a weight I can handle for 8-10 reps and once I'm hitting 12 - 15 reps with it move up.
It works for me, my body could never stand up to two workouts a day, i train 4 -5 times a week and thats plenty!

That's cool though. If I'm not using weights I go up about 5 reps, with weights about 1 or 2 reps a week. ✅
