Imagine, if you will; 100,000 years in the future...a sentient Doomsday has been systematically exposing himself to lethal situations for milleniea, in order to make himself into the most powerful lifeform in the universe.

he's already badass enough as it is.. why does he need even MORE power.... sentient doomsday's back to being about as potent as he was when he was mindless... read action comics 824 to see what I'm talkin about...

Doomsday was one of the greatest villains ever......but I think it should have stopped after he was sent to the end of time......

I think that was probably the idea originally. Hunter/Prey came out in 1994 and the next actual story with him in it was released in 2000/2001.

I think DC just gave into fan pressure, they wanted DD back.
