I bumped all the Syren threads yesterday because they were entertaining once upon a time. I wanted to add a bit of 'fun' back into the OTF. And I was reminiscing... if that bothers you then I don't know what to say Lana 😬

If there's a point to bumping it, I don't care. But in the last couple days people have been bumping threads that have been dead over two years to post things like "lol". That's just pointless.

Okay, I am getting kind of mixed up.

What exactly is bumping.

You'd think bumping a thread would involve bumping a thread somewhere, like off of the message boards all together, getting rid of it.

But the way yall are talking makes it seem like bumping means reviving an old thread and if that is what you mean, then why not say what you mean instead of using misconstructed word limbo.

I don't think there is nothing wrong with going through the old threads and posting in them if you like, even if it's just lol.
It's a free country with the freedom of speech and if someone can get on national television and say B!t(h this and mother!u^k$r this then I believe that someone can go and read an old thread and think that it is funny and write "lol" if they want to.

And I think I may go and do a little old thread reading myself and see what deserves another chance.

And especially if is one of your threads that you want to revive. Who doesn't like to do that.
If you have something else to add to your thread or just want people to see it and get it out there again then why not.

I do it.

FYI I don't plan on starting a new thread tonight so if you happen to see a thread created my "powerfulone1987" pop out of nowhere to the top, you best be sure that thread was created a long time ago and I probably just found it on the 4 or 5 page or so and decided to "bump" as yall say, it to the top for my and everybodies entertainment and delight.

The reason I picked out Syren's comment was because it's illogical. She claimed she bumped all four of her threads to reminisce. All she had to do for that was read them, not bump them. So it proves people bump their threads up for sheer arrogance and attention and it's all rather petty.

Sorry if you don't know what 'bump' means, but the reasonable thing to do with such language culture as used around here is to learn it, not criticise people for using it.

Bumping means bringing an old thread back to the top of the list. Get used to the meaning because your objections won't stop anyone using it.
