Storm Vs. Hulk [with a catch]

This is not a pure fight;

this is to see who is the top Earth based living engine of mass destruction on Marvel Earth:

The Incredible Hulk

or

Storm: Mistress of the Elements

Here are the rules:

Each contestant has 1 week to wreak havoc on the planet causing as much destruction as possible.

Storm can't use and Claremont-ism's like manipulating the sun to cause the Earth to over heat or somehow pulling a solar flare out of no where. She can only use actual weather effects.

Hulk can not simply punch the planet and knock it off it's axis, and no "Hulk goes to the Earth's Core and punches the Earth in half" either.

Both are going for surface damage (destroying buildings, cars, houses, stadiums, killing people, etc).

Neither can simply attack a nuclear facility and set off a large explosion. Damage must be caused by use of their powers on the surface environment.

Who wins?

Discuss.

Storm. Her bio states that she can create a weather pattern the size of the Eastern Coast of the U.S. Imagine what damage she could do in a week.

Come on people this is a good thread. Forget about Wolverine for two seconds!!!

Hulk easily 🙂

You don't think if Hulk went apeshit he could wreck a continent's worth of infrastructure in a day GS?

[Oh, and this is kinda inspired by the recent tragedies here in the US(Katrina and Rita) as well as the tragedy in Sri Lanka (Tsunami).

Hulk's Rage vs. Nature's Fury. ]

Storm. She could probably spend that week fueling a massive hurrince that pulls down hideously cold air from above the Troposphere. Create a new Ice age on the continent(s) of her choice.

Hulk could go to the bottom of the ocean and cause gigantic tidal waves. Or toss large icebergs and glaciers around...

But wouldnt hulk have to be sufficiently angry to be doing such high level things as that? I believe Storm would be able to do far more damage in a week. Her powers operate over a far greater range. And yes one need only look at the recent weather related disasters to see how much can be wrecked. Now imagine such disasters psionically controlled and manipulated in an effort to cause as much damage as possible in a week.

nope he doesn't need anger for such feats.

look at hulk's feat of power you will see 🙂 it will take Hulk few mins........

Strom has her limits

Okay. In terms of destruction to the land itself, Hulk wins. He could literally just start punching the ground, destroy everythign around him, and leap along elsewhere. And, if he decides to cross an ocean, at top swimming speeds near the surface, his strokes create huge waves, so that means really bad damage on coastal areas. If he made it to Antarctica, he could snap off state-sized chunks of ice into the ocean. That would cause all kinds of short and long term damage.

Storm, on the other hand, would be able to effect a wider area in the short team (creating a storm the size of the East coast and wipe a continent or two clean), but the long term effects would be more along the lines of economic strain, disease, famine. Basically all the sh*t we're seeing in New Orleans on a global scale.

Frankly... they both seem fairly even. Just different kinds of destruction. either way the world would be f*cked, though.

Ok, for arguments sake:

Let's say Hulk is being empathically enraged by some hatemongering device that causes his anger to stay at extreme heights. He's at Class .25 million tons (250,000 tons) and rising.

For the sake of the debate, of course.

Does that help?

Hulk. He's far more powerful. One hit from his punches could shatter a mountain. Nothin Storm could bring to bear'd be able to match that kinda destructive power.

But isnt that unfair becxause he's virtually tireless in such a state and Storm will get exhausted after a few hours if that.

Hmm...

You have a point GS.

Ok, for the sake of this debate:

Neither tire.

Hulk is at Superman's base strength level starting (roughly 250,000 tons).

Storm is on a purified dose of Kick that lasts the entire week.

How's that?

Then I go back to my statement. The world is f*cked, just in different ways.

I don't know. That "Ice Age" thing you said before has a lot of applications.

I saw that movie The Day After Tomorrow.

Imagine big rig sized hail stones falling from 20,000 feet all over the planet.

At first I wanted to go with the Hulk, but if Storm is on kick and has the stamina to last the full week I have to give it to her. She could simply take the hot air from the equator, send it to the south pole and get some major flooding (along with a week of constant rain all over the world)

Storm.

Recent events have shown that nothing on this planet can resist the Mother Nature.

Although Hulk could cause an good deal of damage, Storm can just do it on wider range.

Hulk smashed an asteroid bigger than the Earth into pieces. Nuff said.

He could also move tectonic plates causing so many Earthquakes in such a short time.

Too many ways for hulk to win this one.

If you read the threadmakers first post you will see why that changes nothing.

Storm all the way.
