whatever happen to yoda's lightsaber?

in the new trilogoy yoda had a lightsaber. how come we dont see it again in original trilogy

Jedi don't carry 'spare lightsabers' unless the situation calls for it (like arming another Knight, i.e. Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Arena). Otherwise, they only have one (or two if they use two at once). Yoda had one and one only.

Funny how sidious got a lightsaber back so quickly after having it kicked out of his nad and out the window. And he used one during the duel with yoda strange isnt it? SO he must have had spares. Unless he can craft in a few hours..
