Honestly, even after reading this, I'm still not sure wtf is happening here, so could any one clarify for me?

You do realize two pages later, that Thanos comes out completely unaffected...

Anyway... Thor's lightning in the sun. Duribility feat too.

He makes Atum transform.

Thor turns back time...

and one punches Classic Abomination.

Just to show how powerful the weapons that Thor had were.

Thor putting on the weapons. Also, had the Belt of Power, which would double the Odin Power armour he had. Basically, Odin Powered Thor x2.

Thor is decked out and ready to fight.

Thanos eyebeams him, while he was working on destroying the universe.

Thor destroys the stone with one hand, reverting Thanos back to normal power.

And defeat.

Good showing for Thor.

Thor picks up, and throws the hammer...

and, he destroys the armour in one shot!

It was a machine that was manipulating time, or something of the sort. It's kinda like Superman's Mageddon and Spectre Lift feats. You don't really know the exact weight in pounds and ounces, but you know it's extremely heavy.
