I thought Silver Surfer could go back in time to win Magneto was a Baby and kill him if thats how Silver Surfer Worked?

considering how magneto handled kitty's intangible form, its not advisable for surfer to go intangible against magneto. I've yet to see this invincible "forum surfer" in any comic.

Not really. It we used both at their best, Surfer would crush Magneto. Surfer having trouble with Iron Man is a low showing. Magneto beating or stalemating IM is an average showing. Surfer has drained gamma from Hulk, he could depleted IM's powers and killed him. The guy gets into a blasting fight against IM, obviously using simple abilities and not his versatility.
