I would love to see the scientific evidence that not only provess that Adam and Eve were black, but actually PROVES that there was ever an ADAM or EVE.Somehow, I doubt that it exists.
The program I saw talked about Eve, but it was a genetic Eve and she was black. It wasn't about Adam and Eve; they just used that as a metaphor. Some people take every thing literally.

And how did they prove this? I would think that any scientific discovery that actually an unequivocally proved that the bible was true would have made some news report.
From what I remember, they traced common mutations in the Y chromosome until they found one mutation every man had proving there was an adam but I'm forgotting a couple of details.

research has shown that all males are descended from a common ancestor and all females are also descended from a common ancestor.
The common female ancestor though is thought to have been born 8000 years (ish) after the male ancestor. This blows the Adam and Eve story away because Adam only lived for 930 years (Genesis 5:5)

Please keep in mind that genetic research only shows the lines that survived. There are unknown numbers of genetic lines that did not survive.
I have often wondered this myself.
As well as being black, white, asian, and every other color, they (Adam and Eve) would have also had to carry every disease, like Cystic Fibrosis and Downs Syndrome, in order to pass it on. Downs and CF are genetic, and if Adam and Eve were the first humans, they had to have had these diseases. There is no way.
A hundred million years of whites being born, then suddenly, someone gives birth to a black baby? No way.
The Bible is fiction, you can't explain away genetics.
Originally posted by MakeddeNot necessarily. Genes weaken and break down over time with many influences such as environmental and diet and such then are passed on to the offspring. ..Hmm just some info there.

They can't have weakened with Adam and Eve, the genes had to be strong then, the genes would be breaking down now, millions of years later. 😕
Originally posted by MakeddeNot that I believe the Adam and Eve story, but great genes break down especially with a poor diet and you environment, cleanliness, stress...etc..

You can strengthen or weaken your genes by what you're exposed to over long periods of time. Happens all the time today. 🙂

yours sounds more convincing ... i believe you 😄
DNA is constantly subject to mutations, accidental changes in its code. Mutations can lead to missing or malformed proteins, and that can lead to disease.
These mutations inherited from your parents are called germ-line mutations. However, you can also acquire mutations during your lifetime. Some mutations happen during cell division, when DNA gets duplicated. Still other mutations are caused when DNA gets damaged by environmental factors, including UV radiation, chemicals, and viruses.
