Necroscope

Has anyone ever read any of Brain Lumleys Necroscope series? They are some of the finest horror novels around; a highly original and refreshing take on the vampire genre. Style wise, I think Lumley is Stephen Kings equal, and reminiscent of the great HP Lovecraft.

I'm amazed no one replied. i would have thought that someone else
would have read these amazing books. i was only 9 when i read the
first one but i remember it very well.

He's a literary God! I was only young when I read 1 and 2, but I re-read them a few years back and appreciated them even more. The 'Vampire World' series has maintained his position as the master of vampire fiction.

I have the series and it is awesome. They would be great movies if they made them right. It has been awhile since I have read them but I have been thinking about reading them again soon. I really like his books for the most part. I recently read an older one of his short stories but couldn't get through it all. I do have a friend who has a tattoo of the vampire bat on on of the books.
