My Birthday is on Halloween (Australian date anyway) - 31 October.

Of course it isn't really of any significance here - no holiday, no trick or treating, no great myth. Just another day with vague links to founding nations.

Our modern Christmas is a large number of ancient pagan practices, a few pieces of Christian traditions, and a large number of modern creations which are almost entirely secular in nature, no matter where they got their inspiration from.

Examples of winter festivals that are believed to have influenced Christmas include the pre-Christian festivals of Yule and Saturnalia, and many of the traditions associated with the holiday have origins in these pagan winter celebrations.

Yeah, saying Halloween is an evil holiday is pretty ridiculous.

Christmas is evil. Its a pagan tradition. True Christians don't observe the holiday.

Halloween is as evil as Christmas. Both are pagan.......I just worship my daddy.

When I was a Christian we didn't observe Christmas or any of the other Catholic holidays.
