Superman Prime (the golden guy), was in the Sun for the aforementioned length of time -- Superman 1M was NEVER in the Sun.

Actually Superman Prime (the golden guy) is Supeman 1M (not M).
The "1M" is short for "d.c. one million". You were confusing 1M with M.
You confused the hell out of me too.
