Real lightsaber, I made one

Lightsaber, I have a question. And this is meant in all seriousness, not as an attack:

What is the functional difference between what you have there (assuming there's no photo manipulation involved) and a blowtorch or Bunsen burner?

I'm asking seriously here.

A flame couldn't, but a laser could.

The laser comes into a focal point and stops, giving the appearence of a blade, kinda like the way a magnifying glass works.

It looks alot like a plasma cutter that welders used, only the handle's been scaled down.

By the way there is nothing existing on the earth like this thing I made. It is unique. Show me another lightsaber with a workable flame if you don't agree. The neat part is that is has a casing of the Anakins lightsaber. I also have a Darth Vader one. But it doen's seem to work as well. It was the first prototype.

Whatever you would like to call it, it's still a flame. You should call it a flamesaber, not a lightsaber; not even a saber, because you cannot fight with it.

Seriously, how dumb would it be to fight with those?

It would be like seeing people fighting with pilot lights.

I call it a light dagger, and you wouldn't want to get in a fight with one of these, they are very very hot and burn instantly.

I just think it is a neat thing and I don't want to fight with it. But imaging a full scale one of these.

I agree with all of you, but I suggest you cut him some slack, I would like to see any of you make something similar and post it. You cant? Thought so..

I might as well buy myself a bb-gun.

Buy some metal bb-ammo and put them into a fireplace for 5 hours. After that, I would load the hot things in the gun and fire em. Then I would call the thing a "blaster".

The point is that we don't want to make something that complicated.

The reason we don't make anything similar is, lack if money, lack of a workstation, lack of a desire to waste our lives building something that will not serve anybody's needs.

You can never buy this on ebay. This lightdagger is a one of a kind unique thing.
I don't thinbk I woud sell it for $1000 even. It was so hard to make. When I make the full scale one I wouldn't sell it either. Unless I am desperate for cash I suppose.

sounds impressive...300 degrees...wow..... if your hand was burnt to a crisp and the melting point of steel wasn't 2500 degrees i would belive you, really i would.
