the few scans of magneto doing some really neat things with his powers still dont explain how he could hope to take on Hulk...making a crack in the earth's crust honestly didnt impress me...I know Mags can create intricate structures like air craft with his power...like the EMP this is an effect that is more decentralized and less useful in a battle...Magneto could mak a crack beneath Hulk's feet...the problem is that Hulk's vastly quicker refelxes would have allowed him to already leap toward magneto, crush his magnetic field, and then go after his delicate human body, before Magneto's mind and relatively slow reflexes even register it.
You obviously don't know much about Magneto, Nataku, trying to pass that picture off for Mags.
That was actually Joseph, a clone of Magneto, and a more powerful version. Why was he more powreful? Because he never gave himself a limit. He used the full potential of his power, and destroyed himself in the process. Magento puts a cap on his power.
Even with Magneto putting a limit on his own power I think he wins. I just wanted to clear that little mix up with Joseph up. As much as I love Magneto, I'm not going to lie to have him win a fight.

I know that was joseph, and Joseph wasn't that much more powerful than Magneto to say that Magneto himself couldn't do that. I was simply putting that up there to show that he COULD do that.
Magneto could do both of those things,and I'm almost certain he's split the earth before. As for Joseph being stronger, he didn't go all out at all during the four part series those scans are for, so what you said shouldn't be applied. What shows that Magneto puts caps on his powers? When and why would he do that?
Read the comics before you ask those questions.
Joseph was specifically made to be just like Magneto, but with no limits. Joseph used the full extent of his powers, and destroyed himself. That's why Magneto limits himself, so he doesn't accidentally comit suicide. That's why he uses machanical enhancers sometimes so he doesn't have to exert so much energy manually.
Would you like the comic number that says this? Uncanny Xmen 366-367 I think.
I think Magneto has great potential and has done alot to break the mould of being just the X-Men's villain over the years.
But this is The Hulk. You can grab impressive feats all you want for Magneto but they are few and far between. Hulk does something astounding almost every issue. During the Crusher Creel saga (recent) Banner got thrown infront of a train and split seconds before it hit him Hulk popped out and everyone was forced off the train....the train was forced off the rails and Hulk never had a mark on him. Not to mention Banner survived being shot in the head because The Hulk kicked it and he survived it.
Magneto is extremely powerful but saying he could take the Hulk is insanity. Regardless of what Jean did, the entire forces of Earth were at the mercy of Onslaught and the only man they could rely on to actually take him out was The Hulk or the power that he has inside him.
I don't get impressed by once in a lifetime events like Magneto doing something amazing. Hulk had the mountain thing but he has so many things you could point out to show his power that it's not even funny. I still find it insane that he actually put a hole in Abomination's head. Infact, I think Banner actually got involved and smacked Abomination flying with a punch in that fight before changing back into Hulk.
So yeah, Magneto is good but Hulk is out of his league.

the only time magneto manipulted iron in someones blood was after mystique had pumped the guy full of liquid iron which was absorbed into his blood. just that once. thats it.
