black metal and death metal

who likes black and death metal

i like death metal

I like some death metal.

funny point about your screenname... 'satanic god' - well since satan was supposed to be a fallen angel, wouldnt 'satanic god' just be regular god?

i don't think that's what you intended

emperor, moonspell, job for a cowboy, beneath the massacre, beyond fatal, necrophagia, etc. ...alot of grind gore/core, and tech metal also.

What the hell is gorecore?

Let's stop all this labelling now, it's beyond a joke.

-AC

ouch Alpha, i meant gore grind, and grind core, which are very distinct respectable genres

In music, maybe.

I'm just tired of all these 'cores and posts. It needs to stop.

-AC

So you'd prefer that all music is the same and fits the same genre?

People go overboard with trying to make everything fit a genre.

I listen to good music, doesn't matter what the genre is.

You deduced that this was a suitable question from my post, how?

The fact that I think it's ridiculous that there are genres such as gorecore, metalcore, grindcore, post-nu metal, post-hardcore, post-man, means that I would therefore like all music to be the same?

Genre labelling is out of hand, anybody can see it. Bands like Atreyu and such, people come up with some random label for them. Why? They're just a crappy version of a metal band.

The only genres that are necessary are rock, metal (death, black, heavy), hip hop, hard rock, possibly alternative rock, progressive rock.

Even that is a stretch. I have two genres; Artists I like/love, Artists I dislike/hate. There's no need for Post-hard metal goth gore core. People say "But what about bands who don't fit into those catagories?" Well then they don't fit into one, what right do you have to create a genre and stick them in it?

-AC

i like a bit of both.

its very neccesary since bands differ so greatly in their styles of play. you cant put between the buired and me and opeth in the same category just cuz there "heavy" that would be ridiculous.

Let's be completely brutally honest with ourselves here, shall we?

Having 80 different kinds of 'core isn't necessary. People who label to that extent are just insecure music fans who need to feel like they have a lot of knowledge by knowing many genres. Albeit false ones.

-AC

ya, i agree it is taken to the extreme...but thats usually by shitty bands with shitty knowledge of people.

Which is basically what I said.

-AC

basics are for elves.

YO people! I'm doin a investigation for media studies at college n i need to know what people think about the connection between satanism and death and black metal, if there is one or not. Do people think that bands should be to blame for satanic murders because they encourage it throught their lyrics. I need your opinions ppl. Thanku.

Cannibal Corpse, Death, Fecal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Six Feet Under, Carcass, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Gorgoroth, Mercyful Fate, Mayhem, Satyricon, Emperor, all great

Besides in Satanism Satan is God.So there would be no need for another God.For then it would be Satan and another God-ism.Therefore the term Satanic God is complete nonsense 😐

Anycrap,I like Death Metal. The only Black Metal band i like is Immortal
