I'll go ahead and give a synopsis of what's happened. Morlun is back, and he said that there's more than one of him. I guess that's what he meant the first time with his "brothers." Also, although it hasn't been revealed what Spidey's new powers are, and his new costume is, Morlun is again dead. I can already tell two things that they're trying to do with this title. 1)They're trying to make up for their mistake of killing off Eddie Brock, because Gargan is a pathetic Venom. He doesn't even look cool. 2) They're giving Spider-Man a bit of an upgrade, maybe so he can seem a little more of the calibur that the other Avengers members are. The line Evolve or Die comes from the issue where Ezekiel is first introduced. In that storyline, however, Spidey figures out that his powers DID come from radiation, and not from any mystical thing.
Not really. He wouldn't have been able to survive the massive amounts of radiation he put into himself to beat Morlun the first time. He wasn't a pure source, and if he was a pure source, then he would have been mystical. However, he wasn't, therefore his ability to survive the massive dose of radiation that weakened Morlun before Dex shot him. Read the article on Wikipedia.org about Morlun. Nothing points to Spidey being a pure totem anymore. Morlun can still feed on him, however, because he has partially the DNA of a spider. He could also eat Kurt Connors if he wanted to as well.
I've been avoiding all the evolve/die threads because I didn't get ASM527, my comic shop forgot to put it in my pulllist bag and then they sold out.... so I told them to stick my pull list up their behinds and went to another comic shop where I just read the Whole issue without getting told off....
... awesome is what I say about 527... however you can tell everythings being rushed now because Peter's rebirth was so lame... he just sprang out of the water like a fugly mermaid... and what was worse was how Peter just showed up again IN CLOTHES, lots of unexplained stuff... I mean I wouldn't have minded him being in a Hulk getup but full clothes just doesn't make sense for a newly dead alive guy... he had TIME to find and steal clothes before revealing to his WIFE hes alive, I was truely amazed. Great issue tho 😉
the other revealation... not surprised at all, I guessed that while the teaser poster came out. Seeing the preview to FNSM 4 looks awesome tho, seeing those spiders suround the corpse... Blaqchaos has called it right on this one... if hes wrong I'll be upset 😛 I mean it'll be like seeing two marvel zombie books, damn cool.
Spiderman's new ironcostume looks like a red herring, Marvel are playing a little trick on all of us to tease us about the Civil War. And that costume sketch is a worse drawing than what I could do (which gives me an idea) I think that the costume could possibly be based upon that but it won't be that crap sketch they showed us.
