...why dont Venom and Carnage just beat up the sun?

This isn't a fair battle at all honestly. Sabertooth will get ripped apart by Carnage and Venom who will then be bound together by Magneto and given a lecture on Victorian empiricism. Symbiotes are weak to learning.
