Sum 41

I haven't seen them live, I don't listen to punk too much.

And you're not one to judge anyone else's taste in music....

There are plenty of bands who put on enjoyable live shows without having amazing music.

That being said, no band that is shit to me could ever put on a good live show. In terms of me enjoying it.

Yeah im a noob just becuase i proved you wrong and anyone who has seen them live other than you would agree with me that they were a terrible live band and i dont care how good an album sounds that means shit if they cant do it in fornt of people theyu were just a bunch a screaming losers
And yes simple plan sucks

They actually do put on a damn good show. I've seen them sevral times.

Yes, you are a Newb. That, however is a fact.

Prove me wrong? How the hell did you do this?

At Warped, the Unseen were easily one of the worst bands. The lead singer was standing there yelling the lyrics with a bland expression, and there was almost no movement on stage by anyone. To be fair, they were on a small stage, but the Matches were on an even smaller stage but they were jumping around and going crazy the whole time, while the Unseen jsut seemed bored with themselves.

You must understand that they were on tour for a long time. Probably tired out of their minds. Every time I've seen them- Generally in smaller venues. They let loose. Mark Unseen will go flying around the stage and periodically stop to share the Mic with a group of people, then take off again. The Guitarist will usually be rather enthusiastically entertaining the crowd while playing and the Drummer and Bassist do their best to emulate the others. Overall, not acting very bored.

Thats exactly what they were like when i saw em boring standing there if i went to a concert to see them and they were like that i would be pissed and i saw the matches a stage the size of a bedroom and there goin crazy jumpin around getting the crowd pumped while unseen boring as hell

Wow! You just repeated what RedAlert said. Nearly word for word.

Impressive. 😐

Cept with a lot worse grammar.

I suppose they couldve been tired. But it was only half way through the tour, and plenty of other bands were still full of energy. Maybe just a bad day or something, but ultimately a poor show.

I saw unseen towards the beginning and bands at the end like fall out boy probably did top 5 stage performance throwing guitars stage diving and unseen just stood there screaming

By that you must mean that over time they started stealing music from others then mixing and matching it and claiming it as their own. I started a thread about it a long time ago and it does seem to come up in any searches. Anyway, Sum 41 wrote a song called "We're All to Blame" where it is a mix of System of a Down's "Chop Suey" and "Forest" with hints of "Boom." The slow parts are the rhythm of Chop Suey while the faster parts are from "Forest" with smaller parts of the song that resemble "Boom" and other songs from SOAD. The song "No Reason" from the same album ("Chuck"😉 sounds like one of the famous Linkin Park songs (sorry, don't listen to LP enough to pinpoint the song).

When I read your post I laughed out loud. I have no idea where you came up with your theory since I'm a fan of SOAD and Linkin Park and I seriuosly see what you mean but you are being biased since I could go right ahead and say how SOAD sounded like so and so because you are being too picky here. There are millions of ways that I can find songs that sound like music that you probably listen to.

Nobody out now or ever, sounds like System of a Down. If they do it's because they're ripping them off.

System of a Down are one of the very few bands who can say that nobody sounds like them.

I think he was saying that sum41 was coyping some of their guitar stuff, as opposed to actually sounding like them. The two bands sound totally different

i've got a newfound respect for Sum 41. and as for a band not being as energetic as The Matches, well they are a pretty full throttle band live, so its hard to compare them

The Matches are great live for sure

they are indeed, one of my fave shows ever was their show in Melbourne

They were cool at the Warped Tour. Tehy were on a smaller stage so the crowd got to be up close to the band.

when i saw them they were in a pretty small venue, i got to go onstage with the band, twas awsome
