Casca

Gaah I have waited for so long and still this book hasn´t become a movie yet.
It has all, adventure, supernatural, history.... and a superb story.

The last I have read the company who have bought the rights are still in a discussion wether it will be a full movie feature or a television series.
I hope it will be a movie in at least 3 parts, just like the Lord Of The Rings.

-------

I wonder who would play Casca ... Russel Crowe would be easy to say since he was perfect in the movie Gladiator

-------

For you who are unfamiliar with this book written by Barry Sadler here is a short description: (stupid, I have to be a more well known member before being able to post any links)

The central character in the series, Casca, was a Centurian in the Roman Army. As the story goes, when Christ was dying on the cross, Casca speared him to put him out of his agony. Christ told Casca that he would live until He returned. Casca could not die, but he would suffer the miseries of a mortal man. Throughout the series, Barry places Casca in various wars, always fighting on the side of right. The books are well researched and developed a devout following.

ok so Casca doesn´t seem popular amongst you guys

Not familiar. Want to post a link to more info or something?

Well there is not much info other than the writer´s own website

O M ...... G

Are there really no one familiar to this book?
The story has it all and it would become the best movie if done correctly....
It stretches far back from the times of Jesus to the Second World War. It has a mix of action, adventure, comedy... and even historical achivements.

I cannot believe no one at this forum never heard of Casca - The man who cannot die. He was born as a soldier and a soldier he wouldbe till the end of times

This will be great!! I also cant believe this series of books has not been made into a movie before!

BTW, I went to high school with Barry Sadler's son
