Well vegeta in season one of DBZ blew up a planet rather easily and since then the characters have gotten millions and millions of times more powerfull. Majin Buu destroyed galaxies and could destroy the universe if not stoped...i dout sups can take a guy like that...maybe someone should bring that thread back...

Three Things: Firstly, this is not a superman vs goku fight, so every post but the first reply has been off topic
Secondly, just because someone doesn't have every episode of DBZ/GT on there computer to instantly pull up on hand, doesn't mean that anything they say is not true, so far, everything I have seen said about DBZ is completely true.
Thirdly, and the reason why I hate DBZ vs anything fights, is that they really shouldn't be compared, and I hate to say it, but Goku is more powerful of a character, highly trained in martial arts, can instantly teleport on a whim.
Near the start of the DBZ series, Piccolo who is training Gohan destroys the moon to prevent gohan from transforming into a giant monkey. His power level is Piccolo – 1,220 at the time. When Goku is fighting Buu in ssj3 form, his power level is estimated at being 450,000,000. which is thousands and thousands more times powerful then easily being able to destroy a moon, and that isn't even his strongest form, I'm sorry, but in this case, if goku used his most powerful attack he would kill superman, and the planet they were fighting on, and everything else in the vicinity of the planet.
I'd take Goku.
From what I've seen of Goku (not hyperbole, but actually seen displayed in episodes of his show and movies), he is by far the most ridiculously overpowered hero in superhero history.
From what I've seen, not what was said, but from what I've seen, Goku has teleported from Earth to King Kai's planet, and from Earth to a far off planet where his son Gohan was training with the Elder Kai instantaneously once he got a fix on their ki, and there were galaxies away.
Not hyperbole: eye witness accounts.
