Now, since Superman can create counter-frequencies through the use of his voice and body, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that Superman can reverse the effects of telepathy via his voice. ๐Ÿ™‚

badass.

It was a popularity contest. Supes is much tougher then thor but in no way more versital, in any thor vs superman forum thor in any for will win anytime, minus a superman respect thread. This is not to criticize. Ill be the first to go to the new supes movies. But supe you have to admit is kinda one dimensionally and relys on strength and speed to much. LIke to see supes stalemate a skyfather like thor has.

Physicall supes great then thor but over all.

thor is the better combatant in most situations.

Id personally like to see supes start obtaining new abilities to bring spark back into the franchise. Characters with pure physical strength get boreing at times.

Actually, it's the other way around with Jurgens. I've seen him say Superman is > Thor many times.

Thor will beat superman on a vs forum every time minus the supes respect boards. But avlon is right this is a respect forum im not complaining but when i see someone say thor is weaker then supes or has nothing on him here its just rediculous and i mention something.

im still being respectful this is a supes respect thread and hes by far the toughest mortal in dc yep even great then my favorite captian marvel.

Make a Thor (classic) vs. Superman thread and I guarantee you nobody will give Thor 10/10.

Now piss off. ๐Ÿ™‚

Supes is pretty damn versatile considering what his basic powerset is. The guy has done blackboltish type voice attacks, vibrated intangible and invisible, cast illusions, made constructs, and tapped minds with his T-vo, created hurricanes, and lightning storms, tapped the EM spectrum to seal things, etc.

He's far from a brick once you add everything up.

As per Chris Kent (alternate reality Supes) he should also have far more SS type energy control abilities that he has yet to tap.

Avlon, please post more of that alternate Christopher Kent's feats in the Arena series so we can see the full potential extent of the Kryptonian power-set.

No problem. This guy definitely deserves his own respect thread. Hopefully we'll get more material from him soon.

Here he claims that he can absorb souls.
He also mentions that there are 14 dimensions. Interesting.

Here Chris is completely unaffected by Monarchs radiation that weakens the other Supermen and every other character (including other energy manipulators) who have entered it.

Here he drains the radiation from their bodies and even attunes it to power himself up. He claims it's bitter compared to sunlight. LOL

He then uses something called "spectrum vision" which I guess is just an advanced version of the various "visions" that the other Supermen have. With it, he seems to be the only one who can see Monarch.

Lastly, He grows HUGE and Hulk like.

Notice that he states to the other Supermen that he could teach them the technique...

Per Teen Titans, there are at least 52 dimensions. So I dunno what's with the 14 he mentioned.. ๐Ÿ˜•

Anyhow, Chris is a beast. ๐Ÿ‘†

Here, he treats energy (HV) like a plaything again.

Maybe he's only seen 14? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Or perhaps the Teen Titans referred to the 52 universes and maybe Chris speaks of the dimensions such as Mxy's 5th?

Yep. He's a beast.

Both Supermen team up to defeat him even though Chris has decided to make the sacrifice to stop monarch. In their battle he just gets more powerful and grows into a giant energy form...

In that huge energy form he grabs/smashes Monarch...

...and gives his all to the point of "death" (who knows..it is a superman we're speaking of here..." to stop Monarch.

Nah, when Kid Devil was in the 52nd dimension, it was referred to as a pocket dimension. So I don't think it would be correlated to the 52 universes in the prime DCU.

Could very well be. Just struckme as odd, is all. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great scans though!

He wasn't referring to the fifty-two universes. He was talking about dimensions, like fourth being time and fifth being where the Imps reside.

I wish he had said 10 instaed of 14, it would then have some linkeage to Modern age M-Theory. Its nice when comics and science match up. ๐Ÿ™‚

the 52 Universes are seperate universe in the Multiverse.

the 14 dimensions Christpoher was reffering to are the sparial dimentisons postulated by physics. there are at least eleven dimensions according to string theory/M-theory. There are also theories that therre are 14.

These are what Chris was referring to. not multiversal dimensions. . he was referring to the number of dimensions within each individual universe.

The word was "dimension" you realize? KidDevil spend time in the fifty second dimension. In that case it's probably a magical construct unrelated to string theory which Chris was probably referencing (and if he is it shows some lack of understanding by the writer).

String theory (which was theorized earlier) postulates 10 dimensions, while M Theory (although similiar in theory) proposes an 11th dimension.

I believe both String and M theories include the (3) spacial dimensions, plus time, and then 6-7 unknown dimensions.

I've never heard of any theories which include 14 dimensions.

I could be wrong, and would love to hear about it.

Exactly right, I highly doubt the writer was making an attempt to compare said dimension to modern day physics.
