Not only that, Superman also has the potential of unlimited strength. When under stress, Superman is able to draw in more and more power from the radiation of our sun. This amps all his stats including speed, strength, and durability. Superman has also taken down guys much tougher than Hulk before anyways (Darkseid, Lobo, Mongol, etc...).
It definitely wouldn't take Hulk hours to reach Superman's level (as I would say he only starts out a little weaker than Supes) and Hulk has better strength feats than the mountain. Plus, it's not like guys like Lobo are above Savage Hulk any way.

He even demonstrated one time when he did not even want to deal with fighting Wonder Woman, that he just froze that crap outta her and was done with it. Superman has also got a nifty little trick called vibrating his molecules. He can vibrate his molecules to become intangible or invisible. So he could just walk right through any attack that Hulk ever threw at him.
Hulk's taken a supernova attack without any problems, so I 'd say he could definitely withstand a measly 4000 degrees. Wonder Woman also broke out of the ice instantly when Supes froze her.
