Since Canada has a national superhero team why doesn't the USA. I mena the avengers are privatly funded and the X-men aren't that public of a team so who would be on the team? I'm basing mine off Alpha Flight

America Flight doesn't sound right. Sure, we socialist-leaning types up here will let the goverment run everything important, but I think a national American team would have a corporate sponsor name! 😄

The name would be Militia with Nick Fury!

When Alpha deemed they should protect more than Canada [vol.3], they called themselves Alpha North America.....of course, I'm not a fan of this volume.

This one’s actually difficult to do a one for one swap with, as the original AF was actually pretty unique.

Its pretty much impossible if you stick to Marvel.
The characters are the best examples of what each are (lower tier patriotic character, scientist turned orangy monster, native american mage, speedster twins, a little person, an ice princess, a non humany aqua character).
I went DC for my build, which made it a little easier, but i still wound up reaching on some picks. Still happy w. the end result though.

STEEL

Like Guardian, Steel’s a patriotically themed hero, considered lower tier despite packing a good bit of power, leading a group that’ll be considered a ‘lite’ version of more prominent teams.

RAMPAGE

Walter Langkowski’s a scientist who turns into a big orange monster. So is Katherine Faulkner. I gender flipped this pick, but i like it. Plus, Walter once became a female, Wanda, so there’s that tenuous connection.

MANITOU RAVEN

This one’s pretty dead on, as Manitou and Shaman are pretty much the two most prominent native American magic users.

THE TORNADO TWINS

Dont think i would have found another Northstar/Aurora like set of speedster twins at Marvel.

GIZMO

Unlike Puck who’s a friendly, boisterous bruiser, DCs coolest little person brings brains not brawn, and is a huge dick. Gizmo loves 3 things though. Money, science & being the smartest. A fat govt. contract & state of the art facilities takes care of 2 of those. Outdoing DCs most devious bad guys, all of which underestimated him when he was one of them will take care of the 3rd.

ICE

Snowbird’s the daughter of an Inuit goddess & a mortal. Ice is the princess of a tribe of magic-wielding Norsemen. I like this pick.

LAGOON BOY

Having gender flipped my Sasquatch pick, i feel okay flipping this one. Lagoon Boy replaces Marrina as the young not quite human looking aquatic character on the team.
