Silver Surfer vs. Wonder Man

I'd like to see Wonder Man go back to being the Super Strong hero. I wish his ionic powers would coalesce to solid ionic power. No more energy beams. Maybe just ionic steam billowing off of his blows. A return to the jet packs designed by Stark with a Simon siggy. so they work off him like a fingerprint.
Maybe I was wrong to say he's like the green lantern's power. Really i guess that Marvel and DC don't compare very well. Different laws of physics as far as I can tell.
Anyhow I like Wonder Man best as a land bound 100+ton w/jet pack.
