sage was one of the first mutants xavier ever met, but instead of adding her to his troop of x-men, he made her his first "spy." he trained her in the use of her telepathic powers, and she worked her way into the american incarnation of the hellfire club. she served for quite a long time as sebastian shaw's aide, even after the club's demise. it was only revealed in x-treme what depths of history sage had with xavier and the x-men, and that was really one of her first appearances truly working for the "angels" of the mutant scene. she's since become a founding member of the X.S.E., and had a mild flirtation with bishop for a while. recently she dropped out of the x-men game to become roberto dacosta's aide as he attempted to restart the HFC. dacosta's best known as sunspot, of the new mutants and x-force.
in uncanny, during the HoM, the problem of the "chaos wave" wanda's powers created was dealt with. captain britain and meggan left otherworld to find a way to stop "the end of all that is." from my viewpoint, it was a very disinteresting story revolving around the most disinteresting characters in the modern x-universe. yay claremont.
she didn't stop the "reality altering," she just ended the threat to the multiverse. wanda can still alter reality as much as she wants, and depending on whether or not HoM #7 came before or after that issue of uncanny, she may have warped reality again after meggan died. but it's safe to say that meggan's dead and gone, and that since captain britain's operating by himself (as in without meggan) on earth these days, something happened to the governing body of otherworld.
Sabertooth in New Excalibur?? That's an odd suggestion. He doesn't really fit the dynamic of the other characters. I think they'er going for a return to the comedic undertones of the origional Excalubur. I'm glad they gave my boy Pete a place. And I've been a big Chamber fan since he came on the scene. Sage is pretty cool. I've fallen a little behind on the issues, but I read up through 11 or so and am liking it so far.
Only complaint is of course...more wisdom
