Message Boards.... made up of numerous different components, Forums, Members, Staff etc. Each of these components affects the way the forums develop and each have on an effect on the way it is seen from a 3rd person perspective.
Forums & Members
A forum greatly affects the way a message board is treated, and is one of the main member attracting components, depending on the variety and maturity of the forums, different types of members that will arrive the forums.
N - Forums
Nm - Mature Forums
Ns - Stupid Forums
X - Members
Xm - Mature Members
Xs - Stupid members
Lm - Mature Member Leaving
Ls - Stupid Member Leaving
S - Staff member (Mod/Admin)
N is generally directly proportional to X, as more forums generally means a greater range of members.
N -> X
And generally with the addition of more mature forum, such as a Philosophy Forum or General Discussion, will drag in a pull of members that are mature.
Nm -> Xm
But alas it works vice versa, with such forums as an Off-Topic forum.
Ns -> Xs
The pull of the Stupid Forums, is much greater then the pull of the Mature Forums. Which means that there is a greater number of Immature/Stupid members with the addition of a Ns. This does not mean that there is still not a steady number of Xm joining.
Nm Ns -> Xs > Xm
With a greater number of Xs joining, there number of Xm decreases at an inversely proportional rate. Meaning that as there is more and more stupid members, Mature members will slowly decrease.
Xs > Xm -> Lm
As more Lm happens. The Staff start to realise the trend and through their power (Banning) start to make the Stupid members decrease in number.
Lm S = Ls
And as the Xm realise this... they come back and the whole cycle starts all over again.
