What is YOUR holy grail?

I figured we needed some new blood on the DVD forum so here is my attempt.

Is there a DVD that means something to you? did you find a rare DVD on eBay? Did you find a rare DVD at all? tell about a DVD of yours that is speacial to you, and how you got it.

For myself, I picked up this really wierd "schindlers list" DVD in an isle behind some toilet paper, I looked in the DVD section for it, and nothing was there like it. its very thin, like a dr. suess book. anyone else have this one?

I orderd a "reservoir dogs" DVD on dvdempire.com. I ordered a used regular DVD, and got a speacial edition "Mr. Brown" DVD, so I was very happy about that.

and at gamestop I found a discontinued "The thin red line" DVD for 8 bucks.

personally when i got Family Guy Season 2 i got it with some spare change, nothing special, paid full price, there were lots of them there, it was just an impulse buy, now i'm fully addicted and in love with the show. now its specaial to me cos i fell in love with it. oh and Futurama Season 2 Disk 2. found it on its own buried in a sale pile for $4, got it, watched it a billion times cos thats all the futurama i could afford, so when i bought Season 2 i swapped the original disk with the old one and now i'm stoaked

I think the greatest singular deal I ever got was finding the Full Moon Koch "Puppet Master" DVD Boxed Set for $35, and selling it for $250.

I also found 2 copies of Tool's "Salival" CD/DVD set, each for $10, selling each for $80. That was pretty nice.

My next big Holy Grail is going to be a Criterion Spinal Tap.

It's all about knowing where to go, and what is desirable...as well as some plain dumb luck.

That "Almost Famous" set is sweet. I got it 2 weeks ago for about $15.

I bought the batman begins SE, for 15 bucks on amazon.

it is now my OFFICIAL, holy grail.

I got it for my birthday.

I have a copy of Chasing Amy signed by everyone in the cast, including Affleck, Jason Lee and the producer. There'll be a new version relesed soon enough, but this...it was really before anybody cared about Affleck and it's Smith's best work, which he, too, signed and personalized.

Now some may say ' oh those are easy to find' Well their not around here . The only stores update their dvd's weekly . If i hadn't of picked those two up they probably would have been burned.

Mine is 'Miracle Mile.' Not a great movie but pretty good. I first saw it when I was like 7 or 8 when I woke up in 4 in the morning and it was on HBO. I was never able to get the name of the movie until about 3 months ago when I was going through random reviews on 'Ruthless Reviews' and one review was describing a movie that sounded very familiar. So I ordered the movie and was happy to find that it was the movie I had seen as a kid. To celebrate I went to my Mom's house and started making passionate love to her. Notice how I said 'to' and not 'with' I was giving it to her raw.

i had the worst experoance. i saw monty python and the holy grail collectors boxset (includes screenplay,filmcell,and movie). i was so happy to find it, so i reach for my wallet and find i forgot it at home and this was the only copy i was so mad.

mine is prolly the transformers season one. i got it way long ago when it first came out. we moved and i swear one of the moving guys stole it! i couldnt find any other copies around so i gave up. i forogt about it until today. found the season one set for $11 used!!!! nearly mint!! i was so syked!

my other holy grail is probabally my nightmare before christmas extended book edition i attained eons ago from a yard sale. it looks like a book and has one disc with the movie and one disc with a lot of features. the discs are the last 2 pages. the rest of the book is the actual childrens book tim burton wrote. its a very amazing set and i have never seen it anywhere else!

I find DVDs cheap all the time, my whole collection is a bargain really. My favourite DVD, the one I hold high above the rest is probably my Reservoir Dogs Collector's edition. I've seen that thing a million times.

batman the animated series. dvd boxsets 1-3 that i have so far. don't have four yet. those are my holy grail. loved that toon since i was a kid. love to revisit them. made batman my favorite superhero of all time!

I bought Brazil: Criterion Collection online. I've only seen it in a store once. That's my holy grail

My soon to be Holy Grail will be the Batman 89 2 disc special edition. Because I have not seen it since I was about 7 or 8 and cannot wait to see it again.
