Well, from the comics, it required a lot of concentration. As soon as Palpatine could clear his mind to summon it, it was cast instantly. He cast it in close quarters, so it is probable that he would not be consumed in the explosion unless it was 'turned on him'.
However, Leia and Luke managed to disrupt the process by attacking him, causing the Force Storm to rebound on Palpatine.
So Kun would win if he quickly killed Palpatine, which he probably is capable of doing. Otherwise, Kun would die.
Yeah.
Palpatine's Force Storm requires a lot of concentration. And when you're being assaulted by a powerful opponent, Palpatine's instant-kill power is not of much use. But if there was a lot of distance between them, OR if Palpatine knew he was coming, he would stand a very excellent chance.
But other than that, Kun would win.

This thread was poorly thought over. Truth is a weakling, as is his whole race, the prophets. His only defence is that chair he sits in. Any of you who played the game Halo 2 would know that it is compleatly pathetic.
1. The Prophet you mentioned was Mercy, who was perhaps the very weakest of the High Prophets.
2. The 'chair' in question is also brought into the battle. We know for sure that it at 'least' has the defensive capabilities Mercy's had. Such as a teleportation ability, a nearly impenetrable shield, and a laser burst that is twice that of a Hunter's fuel rod cannon.
Erm... Truth is 'only' mentioned in 'First Strike', where he is glimpsed at in the last chapter. He has three-hundred Elite Honorguards, but as we have seen, many tyrants in science-fiction have bodyguards. And, like Palpatine, he may not need them...
... So no. There is NO way to tell whether or not Truth required them or not. We know he is cowardly as Palpatine, so perhaps he simply wanted not to take a chance.
The High Prophet of Truth. One of the three Covenant Hierarchs. He was the leader, and one of the beings responsible for the Covenant Civil War. He planned out the destruction of the Elites. Truth is the ONLY surviving Prophet at the end of Halo 2. He escapes in a Forerunner flagship, and takes the Covenant fleet to Earth, where he plans on activating the Ark and destroying the galaxy.
