Is she Expanded Universe or Canon now?

As a character she has been explored extensively in the Expanded Universe but she did make her first appearance in TPM, even if it was extremely briefly.

Doug Chang says that this appearance was to foreshadow her for a possible EpII inclusion.

I'm just wondering what other consider her to be (EU or Canon) and why.

Another Aurra Sing topic?? Man. Anyways, I'm pretty sure she's canon.

For right now; I'd go with cannon. Like you said; she was in TPM, and I'm thinking Lucasfilm directly assigned certain background to be written about her, so they wouldn't have to use time in the following movies. But, if they do change anything about her in Episode II, that becomes the cannon for her background. The movies always overrule anything else.

So do I. Lucas only put her in the movie at the last minute. He wouldn't do that just for the EU so she will definately be in EP2.
