We cannot know what would have happened. The prophecy may have occured MUCH sooner, and thus changed around the entire timeline.

No. I would start throwing NPCs from "The Dark Eye" in here which would result in Anakin being obliterated.

Palpatine planned this long before Anakin's birth. Though his presence in the grand scheme of things would have made the process smoother and easier, I'm very sure Palpatine would have executed his plans anyways, and would have killed Anakin if the boy hadn't pledged his loyalty to the Empire.

At what point? Does he decide to team up with Windu to kill Sidious, because then, I am unsure.
