Jason Statham should have been Bond

ah but you made one mistake TFP... his tremendous ego:

on NOT being approached, his publicist:
http://www.mi6.co.uk/news/index.php?itemid=1152 :
"Hugh has never officially been approached to play the role of James Bond", he said, clearing up the latest tabloid talk and Jackmania hype.

on starting the 'Bond rumour':
http://www.mi6.co.uk/news/index.php?itemid=1299 :
"I started the rumor, I mean, who wouldn`t want to play James Bond?"

And yes, I believe a website as mi6 has more value than a regular movie-based website for the simple reason that Mi6 does nothing but focus on Bond news.

Ok....that has nothing to do with what happened two months ago. Whether he or someone else hyped him up nearly two years ago is not something I am debating.

The bottom line is Hugh was offered the role then turned it down regardless of what happened all that time ago.

"Jackman was reportedly the frontrunner for the role. After consulting his wife Deborah-Lee Furness he decided not to do Bond. He felt that he didn´t need to play Bond because of his already high profile career."

Also the original source of the reports was not a movie-based website, it was newspaper, 'The Melbourne Age'.

Either I am missing something or you are cause the first quote I gave, clearly stated that he was NEVER approached for the role!
If his publicist says it AND it is touted on a big bond-site as THE truth than I will believe that faster than from a regular magazine that has been running with every story a shitty tabloid or hearsay gave them.
